Katie has done an amazing job transforming the blank canvas of our new-build back garden; providing the design, the planting plan and recommending a landscaper to complete the work. During our initial consultation we described our vision of what we would like, and Katie delivered a design which exceeded all our expectations. We got in touch with Katie having moved into a new build just outside of Edinburgh. Initially we were naive enough to think that we had the creativity and imagination to design a garden from scratch but soon realised that wasn't the case. We needed someone with a bit of experience and a bit of expertise and, after contacting a couple of other designers, we chose Katie. We'd never employed a garden designer before so were a bit apprehensive about the process however from the very start Katie put us at ease with her friendly and professional manner. She explained the process to us and also the payments required at different stages of the project. She listened to our requirements which were to create a garden which would be attractive, not just to human beings but to birds and butterflies and bees, and also allow us to grow some vegetables as well. We were delighted by the plans she gave to us and she recommended a landscaper, Stuart Drever, who had worked with her on a number of projects and Stuart and his team did an incredible job in realising Katie's design. We are incredibly pleased with the finished results and everyone who has seen the garden has commented on what a fantastic job was done. We cannot recommend Katie highly enough!

I had a consultation with Katie to address a tricky part of my garden. She was enormously helpful with both hard landscaping and planting ideas and has made me feel much more positive about the possibility of transforming it into something which will be very pleasing both to the eye and to spend time in. Overall a very good experience working with Katie. Her interactive approach helped us to really think how we want to use the space then through a number of iterations settler on a final design and planting specification. I am massively looking forward to spending time I what I think is a great space to sit and enjoy the Scottish summer!

I am so pleased with the garden Katie designed for us back in August 2021 and even more ecstatic now it is finally complete. Katie spent time understanding all my requirements and a lot of time measuring our garden which is on a slope and a very awkward shape. She convinced me to get rid of our 18 foot hedge (which was absolutely the right decision) we now have so much space!! She was happy to make changes to the design and suggested a great contractor to complete the work for us. We’ve still got the planting to do in the spring, but I am already so much happier with the layout! Thanks Katie!

Katie designed my courtyard for me, I only wanted a plan on paper, and help me finding the right garden furniture for me etc. Because I wanted to execute the design myself, and be in control of spending etc, I’m very pleased that she did just that. She captured what I want and don’t want carefully during our initial concept discussion, and presented a draft and was very flexible with adjustments, and finally a detail design and plant plan. I think she did a good job delivering exactly what I wanted within reasonable time and cost. Would recommend Katie.

Would highly recommend Katie's design service & planting plans. She designed our back garden and planting plan and came up ultimately with two different designs for us to consider when the first one wasn't quite working out - we are delighted with the ultimate design. Katie took time to assess our soil, garden sloping, our requirements for the garden and our nice-to-haves vs must-haves and how to fit these in - she is very creative and responsive. She generally kept us up to date throughout and was thorough in her approach and her designs are very clear and well presented. The garden is not yet built (decent contractor shortages!!) but we are excited to see works begin shortly.
