About Us

Lizzie Tulip Garden Design is a specialist garden design consultancy. We work on projects of all sizes: public and private in urban and country settings. Based in York, we undertake work throughout the UK. All enquiries are welcome. Lizzie Tulip BA Hons Dip GD MSGD, is an experienced designer and a Chelsea Flower Show medal winner. She lectures and writes about garden design and is a regular contributor to BBC Radio York. She received a Premier Gold at Harrogate Spring Show 2013 and a Large Gold and 'Best in Show' at the Great Yorkshire Show 2012. One of our gardens has won a 2012 British Association of the Landscape Industry (BALI)Award.

Lizzie really understood what style of garden we wanted and how to make the most out of it. The planning and preparation was very good with lots of attention to details. The garden now looks like a part of our new kitchen extension. I would highly recommend Lizzie to anybody who is looking to add value to their homes.

Lizzie Tulip is a great person to work with- she listens to your ideas and then creates a scheme based on what you want but even more. She has redesigned part of my front garden and also redesigned my terrace at the back of the house. Now we have a space we use much more to entertain and relax but it looks as if it has always been there.

Commented: I like the bench! Where did you get it?Ah, the client already had the bench, but it's a 'Lutyens' bench which if you google, is readily available. I hope that helps.
