Working with Manoj of Couture Gardens on our Totteridge new build was an absolute pleasure. We worked very closely with him and took everything into consideration, from interior finishes to planting to hard landscaping resulting in a stunning garden space, both at the front of the property, creating a beautiful first impression, to the rear where we worked together to produce an interesting and diverse outlook from the kitchen and living space. His knowledge of plants was first class, and his recommendations worked beautifully with the style of the property to produce a beautifully cohesive scheme. Manoj was a life saver, we had finished the first part of our house extension and the garden was looking drab. Manoj listened, explained and recommended what we could do between the phases to make the garden look lovely without affecting the future (one day!) phase of the development. His initial plans were very clear and genuinely showed what the final product looked like and it is stunning! Even to the point of a conifer tree that had seen better days, Manoj saw the potential and once artistically cut back it became a lovely focal point. As with any project there were minor niggles, Manoj always kept me up to date with the status and walked me through and changes that were required with ease. It was a very smooth process! It is without hesitation that my wife and I recommend Manoj and Couture Gardens. We required a complete redesign of our garden in London. We consulted widely and obtained various quotes but Couture Gardens stood out way above the rest. Our requirements were extensive as we needed to lay an underground drainage system, hard landscaping, returfing and planting and we found Manoj approached this large project with the highest skill and expertise, but still consulting with us at every step of the work. His mantra seems to be participative engagement with his clients. Manoj seemed to consider everything from colour schemes of planting, to any pollen allergies we might have. He turned our garden into an aesthetically beautiful feature of our house but incorporated all the functional needs of clients who enjoy outside entertaining. Unlike other garden designers, Manoj is an intricate planner and presented us with detailed hard landscaping and planting plans before the work started. He was patient and took the time to explain everything to us to ensure we were happy. Another distinctive feature of Couture Gardens is that they plan not only for the here and now, but into the future. Hidden bulbs and plant variations ensure a wonderful surprise in every season. Two years after the project, we find that the garden has grown and matured exactly as Manoj planned and I still take great joy from taking pictures and sending these to Manoj to show him just how much of a little paradise he created for us. I have recommended Couture Gardens to friends and work colleagues who too have benefitted from Couture Gardens creative design skills. Having purchased a north west London penthouse I engaged Couture Gardens to create a design for the roof garden. Since the roof was not structurally sound Manoj worked with the structural engineer and supplied him with the weight calculations of his design to enable him to design the steel structure needed to strengthen the roof. Manoj and I had a very good client/designer relationship and as well as having impeccable taste and plant knowledge which was invaluable when selecting all the trees and shrubs, he was particularly intuitive in identifying the particular style that I envisaged and when he showed me visuals of the final plant selection in relation to the scheme, I was so happy as it was all and more than I had imagined, and just perfect. Manoj has also helped me select furniture for the roof garden and still sends me ideas from time to time that I can implement and I have now also engaged his lovely maintenance team to look after the garden. I use Couture Gardens for our regular weekly maintenance of both a front and rear garden. When we purchased the house it was a rebuild with very little in the garden. With a combination of pots and low maintenance planting, we have gradually built up a stunning garden. The team have been able to advise on the most suitable plants, locations and design based on the soil type and the shade in the garden. They have recently prepared the garden for a family function and our family and friends all commented on how stunning the garden looked - it was the hottest day of the year and we were all outside the whole afternoon, I was very proud that all the hard work had paid off. I am also delighted that, with a lot of patience on my part and TLC on the part of the Couture team, my wisteria has finally flowered after 6 years. I was ready to have it taken out two years ago, but as experts in their field they advised me to wait while they trimmed and cut and nurtured. This year I was rewarded with a beautiful crop of flowers which I am assured will be even more bountiful next year. My experience with Couture Gardens from beginning to fruition was fantastic. We had a complicated levelled garden and they were able to bring our vision to life. Manoj, Clive and their team of highly skilled landscape designers and gardeners are an absolute joy to work with and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Upon moving into my dream home, I was recommended to Couture Gardens and promptly contacted them. They have assisted in maintenance of a very large plot of garden and paddocks, full landscape designing and providing CAD drawings/plans, project management of a swimming pool installation and new patio and entertaining area, removal of several Leylandii trees and my daughter's favourite, installation of a complete play area!

Manoj and his wonderful team sorted out my garden last year and it looked beautiful from the minute it was finished. Now a year later the plants have matured and filled the space and am still thrilled with the effect. Manoj is a consummate professional, approaching all elements of landscape design with flair, imagination and careful attention to detail. His clients wishes are treated with great respect and incorporated into his designs. His plant knowledge is encyclopedic, ensuring a beautiful finish to the living areas of the garden, with 4 season interest. We have worked together on several projects, always starting with a survey, and moving through the design phase. His knowledge of construction detail is very sound, and I have been happy to provide any additional technical information he might need. The projects have included front and rear gardens, and the most recent being a roof terrace. Clive and his team of horticulturally trained gardeners assure that the gardens they maintain are looked after to a very high standard. They are many levels above the maintenance companies that one usually finds, with extensive plant pruning and care knowledge.

After redeveloping a small cottage in St John's Wood, the front and back gardens needed a big overhaul. I commissioned Couture Gardens to design something easy to maintain, but in keeping with the look of the house. I needed the back garden to flow through from the dining area, with a modernist look. The front to be a tiled design, with a contemporary twist. They visited took photos, and suggested materials, a suitable planting area, colour schemes. Later they submitted plans, which we went through before work started and reviewed all costs involved, and chose tiles for both gardens from the samples they sourced. All building/planting work has now been completed, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Manoj and Clive made the whole experience a pleasure, especially for someone who has never picked up a shovel!

We live in Weybridge and our rather large garden was looking very tired. The long planting borders were not doing particularly well. In winter the garden was simply boring and we had nothing to look at. We engaged the creative skills of Couture Gardens Ltd to plan a new planting scheme for our borders. They came up with excellent ideas. Large Buxus balls have been dotted through the border giving us structure whilst the flat topped pillars of Yew give us height. They even reshaped the borders to give them a more elegant flow and improved the soil conditions. The tall grasses have added a real interest into the planting borders and it is wonderful to see them swaying in the breeze. The herbaceous plants add colour into the garden which was severely lacking before. I love roses so they even incorporated a beautiful rose border into the garden which they mixed with perennials. We now have colour, scent and lots of interest in the garden throughout the year including winter. The garden seems to be getting better and better as the plants mature.
