It's been great working with Matt on a series of designs for our garden in East Yorkshire. From our initial meetings, Matt was able to guide us through the design and build stages and really listened to what we wanted to achieve. He has worked with us to evolve our original ideas and thought carefully about how we use the garden to create designs which incorporate the needs of the whole family. He understood the feel of the garden we wanted to create as well as the practical matters and his designs have really captured this. As our garden is a large project, Matt has helped us to break the work down into various stages and liaised with landscapers to manage the works effectively. He has enabled us to see beyond the original layout of the garden and create something we are truly happy with. We wanted a garden for all seasons and Matt's excellent plant knowledge has made this possible. As keen gardeners he worked with us on plants we wanted to incorporate, but could also provide a complete palette of plants for us. The planting advice he was able to provide will ensure the garden thrives for years to come. We are really happy with the work Matt has done and looking forward to our next project with him.

We have worked alongside Matt Haddon for a number of years now bringing his designs to life. The designs he creates are excellent and it is always a pleasure to work with him and his clients. Matt designed a garden for us and we are really thrilled with the end result. He was highly professional and helpful throughout the whole process from the initial site visit and meeting through to the sign off visit. He is always punctual and responds quickly when we had email queries. He listened carefuly to our vague ideas and turned it into a great design including detailed planting to suit our north facing garden. The final design is great and even better than we had hoped for at the start of the process. He recommended a landscaping company to us although we were not obliged to use them I am very glad that we did as they were also highly professional and have done an excellent job with great attention to detail. We cannot recommend Matt highly enough.

I did a lot of research before deciding on Matt to design my garden and he didn't disappoint. Matt listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and guided me towards what he believed I was looking for and what in his experience would work. He recommended landscapers he'd worked with previously and they were excellent, checking with me regularly to make sure I was happy at each stage of the work and changing things when asked to without a grumble! I now have a beautiful garden I can't stop looking at and cannot wait for next summer when I know it's going to look fabulous. I can't recommend Matt highly enough, from start to finish the whole experience was one of professionalism and attention to detail, he was there for each stage of the transformation making sure I was happy with the way the garden was progressing. We found Matt patient, accommodating and very competent. His design aligned with our vision and our budget. Indeed that was the best part of the relationship; his ability to listen to and and take the time to translate our ideas in to a beautiful garden design. We would not hesitate to recommend him for the scale of project he did for us. Our total build budget for the home renovation and landscaping was over £400K although the landscaping was only an appropriate portion.

Matt is thoroughly professional but at the same time very friendly and approachable. My garden would be a challenge to anyone as it sits alongside the Derwent flood plain and regularly floods. Matt worked with me to produce a design that took this into account and I am very happy with the result. He also found me a landscaper who took on the hard landscaping when my own let me down. This allowed me to have my garden finished for a birthday celebration which was lovely.

Matt has transformed our garden and working with him has been a pleasure. He listened to all our ideas and wishes and with his extensive knowledge came up with an amazing design . He was clear about the costs from the start , and we understood and were involved with the process all the way along . Once the planting was complete we were overjoyed with the result . Matt has just finished a complete redesign of the small courtyard garden of our 18th century house. He listened carefully to our initial thoughts for the garden and expertly translated them into his design, which is both sensitive to the historic house and full of interest and charm. Matt’s professionalism and expertise have made the entire project process a pleasure. As well as producing the design and planting plan he has commissioned and personally supervised the landscaping and planting. His expertise and knowledge of plants has resulted in a superb planting design which perfectly complements the hard structure. He has met all the deadlines and kept well within budget. He has responded immediately to all email queries and his many visits both during the design process and the implementation have been welcome and most helpful. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Our dream house came with a project.....a large plot which hadn't had any love for a number of years. We soon realised that to achieve our dream garden and subsequently our dream home we needed professional help.....enter Matt Haddon. Initially we engaged Matt to undertake the redesign of our garden. We had several meetings with Matt where he explored our ideas and offered his own and from these came the blueprint. We loved his design and commissioned Matt to create it. The hard landscaping wasn't without it's problems but Matt always found a solution which was acceptable to us. We now have our dream garden which even in it's infancy is giving us great pleasure. Several meetings were had for Matt to fully understand our brief, undertake and produce design work and to make recommendations we hadn't thought of. Once contracted, quotes were comparable to two other suppliers we approached, work commenced on time and with no delays. The team who worked on the hard standing areas were extremely professional, hard working ant polite. They, in addition, cleaned up every night before leaving, we could not fault them. The design, planting and overall result absolutely reflected our vision and then some. Results are in no small part due to the integretity, experience and knowledge of Matt and the team. We would, without hesitation, recommend Matt to anyone. We cannot thank him enough for his attention to detail. We have thoroughly enjoyed the gardens this summer, we are still in bloom and the garden just kepps on surprising us with fresh blooms we didn't know we had. Excellent service from design through to completion. We have a challenging garden-exposed to the North sea with a significant slope away from the house which needed a lot of work to re-level, and we also wanted a 'low maintenance' garden. Matt designed a beautiful garden with terraces, which looks amazing. We were able to 'tweak' things as we went along, and we were kept informed at all stages of the work. Our neighbours are very impressed, dare I say even a little envious :-) and it's lovely to be able to sit out and enjoy our new garden. I have no hesitation in recommending Matt, and I would use him again for any future garden work.
