N Hargreaves Garden Design & Maintenance

Nicola Hargreaves has been maintaining our front and back gardens since 2013. In 2016 we decided to re-design the back garden whilst having building work done. Nicky was very good at listening to what I had in mind and then drew up and executed a lovely design incorporating ideas we talked about. She ran the job, which included overseeing the hard-landscaping and the successful planting of 11 pleached lime trees. She is very knowledgeable about plants and planting, ready to give advice and to order and collect new plants from the nursery, always bearing in mind soil condition, position, and overall aesthetic of the garden. Nicky is professional in all her dealings and an enthusiastic, expert gardener. The garden always looks great when she has been!

We moved into our new house last year with a very untidy and overgrown garden. Nicola couldn’t be more helpful. Garden’s are really not our forte (apart from sitting in them in nice weather). My family cannot wait for the weather to break this year because our garden looks beautiful. It now looks huge, neat and interesting. She has the professional expertise that we haven’t, affordable and trustworthy. The mess was minimal and we love the raised beds. We are excited to see it in full bloom in Spring. Nicola visited our small town garden in France and drew up fantastic plans with really creative, but practical, ideas on form and materials for the borders. Her planting plan included interesting suggestions that we would not have considered but she really took into account the soil type and the local climate. I highly recommend her.
