Right from our first initial conversations it was clear that she understood our brief and what we wanted from the garden. Elen is lovely, really easy to work with. She gives great advice and guidance without being pushy. She took on board our likes/dislikes whilst making great suggestions at every stage of the design. Her process of ideation and mood boards through to 3D designs and plans was really straight forward. And once designs were agreed she recommended landscapers to work with. When work began she regularly checked in but creating a planting plan which will ensure we can enjoy the garden all year round. She's even been back twice to plant and provide a care plan. Money well spent on a garden design that makes the most of our small courtyard garden to match our lifestyles. Elen has been fantastic and we highly recommend her.

Elen is a really talented designer. She took her time to really understand our taste, how we wanted to use the garden and the setting. She did both a full landscape design and then a detailed planting scheme. The planting is beautiful and suits the space perfectly.

Very friendly and flexible service and Elen certainly knows her horticulture. Our garden is now a beautiful paradise of blazing coloures. Elen produced very easy to interpret planting plans and did a great job of helping us with the planting.

The results are more than we hoped for and the whole project was well within our budget. Her planting skills and horticultural knowledge are incredible. Since completing the project last autumn we have had so much colour and interest in our garden. So many of our friends and family have commented on how much bigger and how established our garden looks. We are all as a family enjoying and using our garden so much more. We can't recommend Elen highly enough. She took huge trouble to find out how we use our garden, what we liked and disliked before coming up with a brilliant design. Newman Garden Design helped us with every step of visualizing, designing and realizing our garden from an overgrown mess to a modern and enjoyable space. Elen prepared mood boards to help us pick colours and styles and then prepared the 2D plan and 3D images asking us for feedback to make sure we were happy and if course we were. She also helped communicate the requirements to the landscapers in terms of materials and finishes which were executed to plan and look amazing now it's finished. Elen designed a plan for a small plot that was effective at utilizing the existing plants, giving a simple and elegant finish to a previously haphazard garden. in addition, the planting plan she provided solved the problem of a very difficult water logged clay soil. She is full of knowledge and methodical in her approach.
