This 'truly, tiny, town garden' was transformed by Ann into a welcoming, relaxing space, with secluded sitting areas from which to view her all-year round, innovative, low maintenance, planting scheme. Her plans, drawings and landscaper brief showed Ann to be the consummate professional she is; easy to get on with and having a sense of fun. She was painstakingly patient and attentive throughout, with an eye for a distinctive feature. What was a sad, neglected garden has become a source of great enjoyment, discovery and pleasure.

We agonised over our small, awkwardly shaped, back garden for several years. It is overlooked by four different gardens and it lacked privacy but, although we had some ideas, we did not have the confidence to proceed. Ann Dukes (Pacey-Buck Garden Design) was excellent. After one visit she was able to size up the space and give us an initial sketch which incorporated the most suitable ideas, added her own experience and created a harmonious design with which we were very pleased. When we decided to proceed, she visited again and gave us an accurately measured design which we could send to local landscapers alongside a detailed description of all the plants we would need. Throughout the process she encouraged us to look at ideas she suggested and give our opinions. To her credit, she was not even phased when we changed a fundamental part of the design as it was being created, and she willingly sent modifications to enable the job to be completed. We now have a beautiful and usable space which is bringing us much joy. Using a designer is obviously a more expensive option but we wonder if we would have ever made a move without Ann Dukes’ expertise and encouragement.

Ann is very good at her job - a real professional. She was very knowledgable regarding the garden layout, hard standing (patios, paths and steps etc) and also tree, shrub and plant recommendations We are very pleased with her garden design for our house. Ann gave us much time and attention and it was enjoyable working with her. We looked at designing our own garden but now realise we needed a professional like Ann to get our ideas into a plan. We would recommend using Ann who is a qualified garden designer.

Ann was a pleasure to deal with and was able to introduce our ideas into a colourful and impressive garden design. Pacey-Buck were very professional to deal with. They provided detailed costs of work and plans of their designs, together with a list of the plants recommended within their designs. They undertook analysis of the soil in my garden to ensure the recommended plants would thrive within my garden. An additional benefit of having my garden borders designed by Pacey-Buck was that they are now low maintenance and provide colour throughout each season.
