Richard Miers is an internationally acclaimed, London based Garden Designer, working on residential homes and commercial developments. He specialises in creating bespoke gardens which provide a treat for all the senses. I have known Richard for many years and employed his expertise and services on numerous occasions. Creative, professional and a pleasure to work with he has the ability to take on any project and deliver beyond one's expectations. Whether it be large project in the Home Counties or a walled garden in London, Richard is always equal to the task and delivers outstanding results time after time. As well as this he is a pleasure to work with. The colourful, imaginative and practical solutions that Richard creates add the final important touches to any project. We hired Richard to help redesign parts of the garden of our Grade 1 listed Queen Anne house in north Norfolk. Richard took great care to understand what we were looking for and we couldn't be more delighted with the results. He has an exceptional eye for shape and colour and an impressive and extensive knowledge of plants. He worked hard to keep costs within our fairly limited budget and was always a pleasure to work with. The contractors he hired to carry out the work, Demeter Design, were exemplary. Ten years on we are still delighted with the gardens Richard created for us. We worked on a further design project with Richard in 2010 but did not go ahead for various reasons, mostly financial!

Richard has been a real star. Over the last 15 years Richard has now created three wonderful and amazing gardens for me. He has also designed gardens for friends on my recommendation- they have been delighted too. I think it is his vision, imagination and creativity that stand him apart. With two of my gardens he has started with a blank canvass and created something out of nothing. He is very good to work with as he listens to his clients and gives one options too. He works well within budget contraints which is important. His plant and tree knowledge is amazing which enables him to select the right plant/ tree for the right location and conditions. I also like the pace he works at as he keeps the project moving nicely on and within an agreed timetable. I would rate him at the top of his profession and couldn't recommend him more highly. Robin.
