Sarah is a garden designer based in East Sussex. Following an initial career in documentary film production, Sarah’s passion for landscapes and planting led her to study garden design at the National Design Academy whilst working as a gardener and designer in and around Brighton and Hove.
Sarah brings a craft based approach to her work, lots of enthusiasm and an eye for detail.
Sarah is also a RHS certified gardener.
If you are local I will probably offer to visit your garden for free, just to have a quick look at your space and to talk to you about garden design services. After which you will be given time to mull things over and if you decide that you would like to go ahead we can start working to a professional design process which will include the following stages...
1. SITE SURVEY AND ANALYSIS
Measuring up the space and identifying any existing problems, then doing a quick questionnaire with you to find out exactly what you would like from your garden.
2. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
I will produce concept drawings and mood boards to visualise ideas for the new garden.
3. CONSTRUCTION PLAN
Outlining the layout and exact scale of all garden elements to the millimeter. Then creating a materials specification table and working budget.
4. BUILDING THE NEW GARDEN
Supervision of the garden build, working alongside a landscaping team and electricians.
Drawing a detailed planting plan for all seasons. Then installing all the plants to ensure optimum health.
Giving the garden what it needs in order to reach its full design potential.
