I had a basic idea for how I wanted my fairly boring back garden to look, but I needed someone with experience and a creative mind that could enhance it in ways that I couldn't imagine.....and thankfully I found Sarah Jane. From our initial meeting, she took my ideas and over the next little while, produced a concept design for the lawn area and a planting plan for the borders that way exceeded my expectations. A number of contractors were involved through the process, to install a pathway and decking area, dig out the existing plants, shape the lawn, lay some 15 tons of soil and 5 tons of various sized pebbles. Sarah Jane was always on hand to offer her advice and guidance to them through the process. Finally, Sarah Jane planted some 400 new plants and bulbs based on her planting plan. I'm so looking forward to the garden grow and develop over the coming years and I know that wih all the effort that Sarah Jane put in to making it happen, it will look magnificent.

Sarah Jane designed the most imaginative and personalised garden of my dreams, it was a tricky sloping north facing site with lots of mature shrubs and trees that the new design needed to incorporate. She was so helpful and supportive throughout the process and her long term planning of the planting brings me new joy each season as the garden matures.

Sarah Jane at Shelloch came recommended to us for the extensive garden project we had for our home garden. The entire (reasonably large) front, side and back gardens were being completely ripped out and 're-built' from scratch. My husband and I had absolutely no designs in mind but once we had Sarah Jane on board we needn't worry any more. Sarah Jane discussed any small ideas that we did have and shared her own with us. These initials discussions were then drafted into a fully detailed and drawn garden plan. The full lay-out was there for us to see, right down to what plants would go where. In addition to that, all costing estimates were provided up front and we received excellent value for money. Working with Sarah Jane of Shelloch Garden Designs has been wonderful. At our initial meeting she listened to my ideas and was then able to produce lovely designs for the various areas of my garden. The landscaping materials and plants she suggested compliment each other beautifully and the plants selected are appropriate for their position in the garden with relation to the light/shade and also to the coverage and screening I was looking for. She was on hand at every stage of the transformation answering any questions from me or the contractors. The end result is a spectacular garden that I will be able to enjoy for many years.

Sarah Jane has transformed our very small front garden spaces which were lacklustre bordering on ugly. These spaces are notoriously difficult to plant and maintain. Sarah Jane has managed to enhance the front of our building in an architecturally sympathetic manner. From our first meeting I was impressed by Sarah Jane's professional approach and her quick grasp of the brief. Above all she is a designer who listens to her client. In this case it was more about what we knew didn't want, we really didn't have a clue as to what we did want. We are totally delighted with what she has created for us.
