Tom, Andrei and all the team have been fantastic from start to finish. Tom listened to all we wanted to achieve and came up with a great design. The guys started in January and had to work through some awful weather conditions. They were always early, polite and worked tirelessly to complete the project. The guys have even popped back to sort a tiny problem quickly and without any fuss. I’m absolutely delighted with the final results and am now enjoying the Summer in our beautiful new garden. I recently had the pleasure of working with Tom Howard on the design and build project for my small garden in South London. The finished result has exceeded all expectations. I cannot give Tom and his team enough praise. Tom listens and is super responsive but also nips any bad ideas in the bud. And what a design and execution, the garden surpasses all our expectations and I know that nobody else would have pulled it off. We are so glad we chose Tom. We recently hired Toma and his team to revamp the front entrance paved area, and we are very happy with the results. A high level of workmanship and attention to detail. They completed the project within the agreed-upon timeframe, and the quality of the finished paving is impressive . New Pool Area / Swim Spa installation / Large garden landscaping Awesome job from Tom and his team, man thanks Tom. The project was to remodel the bottom half of a big garden, with a new pool area on one side and a climbing frame area and wild flower patch on the other side. Installed a large swim spa fully sunk into the ground with a custom designed decking and bar area. This was a big job and Tom was a pleasure to work with from initial concepts, designs, and the on the ground project management and organisation. All the family loves the outcome, and I would highly recommend Tom for all garden projects.

Tom and the Team did an amazing job transforming our garden into a little oasis. We’ve been enjoying the garden for just over two years now and it still gives us the same pleasure as on the day the project was finished. Every time we step into it, it feels like a holiday. Tom has been brilliant with our garden design for our house in France, flying over for the day and bringing his drone to look at the possibilities! We had to take into account the slope on the land, the trees and planting that were typical for the area and a bespoke requirement to design for an outdoor kitchen, plus a sunken seating area. Tom designed thoughtfully around the basement windows, with a lovely path running alongside and a glass wall to allow maximum light. We also have a bespoke lighting plan which we're putting in place next year. The images generated enabled us to picture exactly what the space would look like.

Tom and his team have recently completed an amazing makeover of our Wimbledon Garden. The brief was to add colour, texture and warmth to the old sunken terrace which was dominated by cold concrete and grey slate and in so doing bring the garden closer the house. Tom’s design and Andrei’s (+team) skilful implementation truly transformed the space and fully met the challenging brief. We are delighted with the outcome and look forward to enjoying its full glory for years to come.

Tom oversaw the complete re-design of our Wimbledon garden. He transformed what had been a dingy, concrete-covered back yard into a beautiful, green-filled space. From start to finish, Tom made the entire process a smooth and collaborative experience. We engaged Tom for a challenging project to maximise the small 16m2 courtyard at the rear of our property. The brief was to create an outdoor living space that complimented the design of the interior, flowed seamlessly from the kitchen/dining area and featured predominantly green planting. To add some complications to the design we requested a built-in BBQ and secure storage for two bikes. Tom intuitively understood what we were trying to create and provided a range of excellent options that made it easy to arrive at a final design. Tom’s team were hardworking, respectful and patient; even though they were working in a challenging space with much less room than they were used to. The build time was exactly what Tom had estimated with everything completed to a high standard especially the artisan herringbone pattern limestone paving. Throughout the process Tom was a pleasure to work with – communicative, responsive and even though this was a small project, we felt Tom and the team gave it their full focus and attention. We are thrilled with the result including the innovative use of space, the layered raised planting complimenting the F&B All Black slatted timber, lighting, the Artorius Faber paving and the floating Meranti benches. We could not recommend Tom highly enough across all aspects of this project especially the high-quality end result – a beautiful space that is a pleasure to be in and looks fantastic throughout the seasons and any time of day.

The whole experience of engaging Tom and his team (to redesign my garden) was a unique one for me from my past experiences with contractors. Quite simply he was an absolute pleasure to deal with, the standard of work was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. Tom transformed our boring garden into a little oasis, a tranquil space to enjoy a daily dose of holiday and relaxation. Both of us lacked the imagination to come up with ideas so only gave Tom a few ‘musts’ such as outdoor kitchen, hot tub, reuse some of the existing materials and a very vague idea of the feeling the finished garden should convey. It was an absolute pleasure working with Tom and his team and I can’t recommend him enough. Having recently completed a gut renovation of our house we engaged Tom to transform our small backyard and I’m so glad we did. The results are simply incredible. I would recommend Tom and his team without hesitation. From my initial telephone call all the way through to completion of the project, Tom was unfailingly professional and inspired me with confidence. The design phase in particular - building on a few ideas thrown around during Tom’s initial visit - was also a lot of fun! Despite lockdowns, challenging weather conditions and nationwide shortages of materials and appliances, Tom and his hard-working team (together with additional contractors - all of whom Tom organises) completed the project on schedule and to budget. One of Tom’s strengths is his communication skills. I was always kept fully informed of timescales and costs so there was never any chance of unwelcome surprises. We now have the multi-functional outdoor space that we’ve long been talking about. It is a joy to be in (and to look at) and has added a whole new dimension to our living space. We would thoroughly recommend using Tom Howard for your garden project. We did a complete revamp, essentially starting with a blank canvas. The process to agree the design was excellent, with Tom providing 3 alternatives and then we mixed and matched to come up with the final design. He incorporated our input so we ended with a design we are really happy with. We also wanted a pergola and Tom did a lot of research to find the right design and company to supply it (Garden Design - Renson canopy). The entire garden installation went smoothly and on time. Tom dealt very well with any questions along the way - given the initial design process is so thorough there really are no surprises. His team of contractors were all excellent to deal with so the whole process was straightforward and enjoyable. Watching his plans come to life was very exciting. We are now thoroughly enjoying our new garden and are thrilled with both how it looks and functions - great job thanks very much Tom and team.

Tom's service was fantastic from start (design) to completion of the works. The design was professional and hardly required any amendments because Tom clearly understood what we were trying to achieve and pretty much got it right the first time around. The 2D and 3D render/designs were very helpful to visualise. The work itself completed without a hitch. Tom was flexible with some additional work and also liaised with other contractors (our builders) plus recommended (and liaised with) others (outdoor kitchen, railings) and recommended some good places to look for materials. His communications were also very clear and professional and he was very responsive - all of which go a long way in this business. We would happily recommend him to others.

Tom and his team did a fantastic job for the small garden space that we had. Tom conceptualised the space and was able to to incorporate so many details in the garden design that we were amazed. He also implemented the design impeccably. Having had experiences with other building contractors, we can safely say we have not seen such a professional team. Everything was well planned, there were no glitches. The project was delivered well on time and within the budget that Tom had indicated. The first day of the project it was snowing but that did not deter the team. They worked ceaselessly for 5 weeks. Andrei the main work man was superb. Tom and his team's attention to detail was amazing. Every small nook was taken care of. For our very small garden Tom's design is thoughtful and combines the various elements that we wanted including a 130kg statue. We cant recommend him enough.

Tom has been an absolute delight to work with. We hired Tom is 2017 to help us create a new back garden. The plot was about 25.0x5.5m, a typical long Victorian terrace garden in Brockley, South East London. The existing plot had been flattened due to ongoing building works, providing a blank canvass. Tom more deserves a 5 star review - he listened attentively, worked with us to understand our preferences, and then created various options for us to work through. The whole process was very efficient and enjoyable. Costs were clearly discussed and ran to budget. Three years later, we still enjoy a beautifully designed garden that requires (as requested!) minimal maintenance. Planting thoughtfully considered the garden exposure/sunlight, providing interest all year round.

Tom was excellent from start to finish. He took our dark and overgrown garden and transformed it into a beautiful space which gives us tremendous pleasure. It is as if we have added a new room to our house. Tom took time to get to know us and was anxious to find a design that worked for us. We first contacted Tom at the end of a lengthy 2 year build project, remodeling the back of our house. Weary and bordering on decision paralysis, we still faced the rather daunting prospect of what to do with the garden which we had given little thought to. Searching for a garden designer, we came across Tom on Houzz and really liked the look of his designs. It turns out that contacting him was the best thing we did! Tom presented us with some great design options to maximize the space and functionality of the garden – as well as looking good, we needed it to be a space where our sons could kick a ball about and despite its compact size, my husband also wanted a putting green! Throughout the process, Tom and his team were fantastic and we are thrilled with the end result. Tom incorporated all our requirements, was flexible and resourceful and very transparent on costings. You don't need to read much more than the reviews Tom and the team have had. Our experience was the same as others. There is a killer combination of deep care for meeting your needs, incredible knowledge of his trade and ideas galore in terms of achieving your vision. This combined with an execution focus like few traders I have met over the years; every detail is considered and when there is an issue it truly is no problem. One thing to listen to is Tom's knowledge of what it takes to do something - there are cheaper but I am not sure there are any better. We love our garden. We are a fan of Tom and the team.

I worked with Tom for a period of around a year on a total re-landscaping of the front and back gardens of my house, the ground floor of which itself was being fully renovated and extended. I had done plenty of research beforehand and, based on many of his previous projects, knew that he was the person i wanted to work with from a 'look' perspective. The experience of working with Tom only served to reinforce that view. The whole process from beginning to end was, to be a honest, a joy. Tom was endlessly patient going through various iterations of the design, and is personally invested in delivering something that I was going to be happy with. His team are very hardworking, tidy, friendly and thorough. They are all sticklers for getting the details spot on. Tom dealt with difficult neighbours brilliantly, rarely having to get me involved. He worked seemlessly with the house renovation team both to ensure that the design worked in terms of blending the house in with the garden, but also in terms of scheduling work, etc. when there were multiple contractors on site. He also sticks very firmly to budgets, which is very important on larger projects. Tom ensures that he spends plenty of time on site himself, and is always available to chat through things in person when needed. Overall, i couldn't be happier with the result. Tom has a clear enthusiasm and love of his work which comes through in all aspects of the project, and he is a joy to work with. I thoroughly recommend.

I worked with Tom and his team redeveloping a garden and terrace in Chelsea in 2017/18. I have worked with other Garden designers and landscaping companies in the past but Tom has completely surpassed my expectations. We contacted Tom having seen his Houzz profile and website, as part of a whole house renovation we did in Clapham. We had a relatively tricky back garden to landscape, with the challenges of a new basement and light well that protruded into the garden, and a high-walled rear boundary. We wanted something that would feel spacious, look good from the kitchen and serve a number of different practical functions. The end result achieved all these objectives, and we're really pleased with how it looks. Tom pushed us to choose a number of things, such as darker paint colours, which we wouldn't have considered. The dimensions, layout and planting all work harmoniously. He also turned around the plans quickly and worked well with our contractors. Fees were reasonable in the context of the project scope.

I have recently had the pleasure of working with Tom on my own project after a client recommended him. Tom was very patient in answering all my questions and tweaking the design quite a few times. We can't recommend Tom highly enough. He gave our compact SW London terraced house garden a makeover and we are delighted with the end results. We had a disastrous experience with a different contractor as part of some overall building works only a year earlier where they renovated our garden as part of a larger project but it transpired after the first winter that they had used completely the wrong materials and the rendered garden border wall fell apart. We were therefore rather paranoid about picking a professional gardener / landscaper to do it properly second time round. After a lot of research and quite a few meetings with highly regarded gardeners we decided to go with Tom and are so pleased that we did. We have had the 'pleasure' of experiencing a wide range of quality trades people over the last couple of years and Tom is something of a rare gem. He is a thoroughly nice guy, very responsive and easy to deal with but is also extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of hard and soft garden landscaping that we asked (this wasn't true of other highly rated gardeners). Tom has a talented, loyal and hard-working team that he uses to carry out various aspects of the work and he visits most days to carefully project manage the job. The entire team were very clean, tidy, professional and personable and managed to remove all the garden rubbish without making any real mess inside the house at all - quite a feat. The project a rear garden with various levels. Tom completed a thorough site survey, through consultation, designed a great structural plan with wide steps, opening the garden out to a top level sun terrace. With further consultation Tom designed a planting plan which will give an all year round green border to the top & bottom of my garden. A flowering middle planter creating interest and delicate screening provided by agapanthus on mass in the top planter. It looks truly stunning! We are absolutely delighted with the outcome.
