“We were having a significant amount of extension work carried out by a local professional project management company. A new kitchen was a major part of this project. The project management company directed us towards their usual fitter - an established company we were aware of. We saw this company and described a feature we wanted. We were told by them that there was no space for this feature. We were supplied with one black and white plan of what we were told could be done. We got the impression that no effort was being put in and the company assumed they already had our business and we were an inconvenience. We then looked around and found Arc+be. From the beginning it was a totally different experience. Jide is so enthusiastic about his work. He began by saying not only was there room for the feature we wanted but he could make it bigger if so desired. He was friendly and appeared as excited about our new kitchen as we were. He spent time with us finding out our likes and dislikes and what use was to be made of the kitchen - a lot of our cooking is not traditional western style, though much is. Jide came up with three suggested plans for us, not only showing the proposed layouts but, for each one, providing a colour, computer generated image of what it would look like. He talked through all the options with us and different finishes etc.. We had no hesitation in placing our order with this company. We were provided with a full cost breakdown, copy of the plan and image of the fitted product together with pictures of the white goods, cupboards, finishes (down to the draw handles) we had chosen. The whole extension was a stressful time but having the kitchen fitted was a pleasure. We were kept informed at all stages, work was done when we were told it would be done and when there was a glitch we were brought solutions not excuses. (e.g. the American style fridge freezer we had selected was not available, Jide told us this and offered us a better one, at the same price to us, that he had already ensured was available). Throughout the build, and after it had been completed, we felt that this project was as important to Arc+be as it was to us. Everyone we dealt with - the planner, the fitter, the tile fitter - came across as true professionals who took a pride in their work and enjoyed what they were doing and we're not just doing a job. They are craftsmen (and women). I am not in the habit of making recommendations but I have already recommended this company to a number of people. I would say to anyone thinking of a new kitchen, talk to this company and compare them to others. I feel sure they will come out on top.”

When a water tank seal failure was discovered in a few of the flats they were proactive in eliminating the risk of this happening in other units by quickly replacing the same seal in all the flats. A weekly newsletter keeps owners up to date with the progress being made to complete the development. This communication is vital to explain when and why plans slip, so that owners and tenants are in a better position to appreciate and understand the reasons for delays and disruptions.”
