Michael Ruh Studio

About Us

London based Michael Ruh Studio designs and creates hand-made glassware for both individuals and luxury brands. We produce tableware, vases, lighting and undertake commissioned work for interior designers, architects and private clients. Michael's preferred style is utilitarian with intelligent shaping. His work draws on an exceptional understanding of colour, nuanced by pilgrimage to his colour house in Germany (every year for the past 20 years) to study the alchemy of colouring glass. His work is exhibited internationally and available from the Michael Ruh Shop or from a handful of reputable retailers. In 2014 the BBC broadcast a 15 minute film featuring Michael creating a jug from scratch.
