Central Lofts & Extensions

We had a loft conversion built by renetas and team in 2019. had we probably met about eight different builders before we found central lofts. I had originally gone with a loft company from outside London but due to timings they were unable to commit to doing the project in the summer of 2019. So I asked them if they could recommend a company. The provided me with Huws number and said they recommend him. The architect arrived at our house and explained the loft project to my while I was at work. She immediately fed back to me that he was the first person who really managed to explain to her what the work would entail and how it would look once constructed. A few months later we decided to go ahead. The architect then came round again ran through the works and bought a architect for the technical drawings. The next day our project manager arrived and within two weeks work had commenced and took care of the Building regulations and the skip license. I was extremely keen on a full package and basically do not have the time or inclination to get involved in the moving pieces. It was this wholistic approach which I greatly valued. Scaffolding went up in a couple of days and then our building team arrived. The builder and his helper who were both top guys. Its pretty crazy how quickly the loft was built. For the first 3 weeks all the work is external with steel girders being placed in the roof and tiles taken off. The dormer is then built and work inside can commence. Honestly the speed is really impressive. Loads of builders take a long time making no progress Central lofts work fast and quickly which is what I like. Once the loft is complete the stairs are constructed, this took 1 day which is crazy and you have another floor on your house. Windows are fitted along with more internal work. Its at this stage when I thought it was almost done but there was probably another month of plaster board electrics windows ect. The tiling and plumbing and electrics is next. Word of warning here running electricity from under the stairs tears through walls as everything needs to be replastered. We were planning on redecorating so it didn’t bother us, but the process creates dust everywhere, even though covers are placed everywhere. In the loft we worked and adjusted the plans as we went along to get the size of bathroom and layout we wanted. The builders were totally flexible which was great. As you don’t understand the full layout of everything until the shell is done. Finally a carpenter comes in and fixes everything doors, skirting board cupboards. What's prompted me to right this review is 4 years later when we come to sale the house. I had lost out electrical certificate. Central lofts came out to recertiy for free. Great service years late

I have just concluded a loft conversion project with Central Lofts and they have done a truly fantastic job, from start to finish. I signed a contract with them in early 2022 and they guided be through the whole process in getting surveyors & legal consents from my neighbours all the way through to providing top quality contractors to cover each element of the build & plumbing for the new bathroom. I was very happy that the fixed contract price agreement that I signed in April 2022 was the same cost I paid for the main construction work, which was actually completed in April / May 2023. this year. There were a few issues that unfolded during the project but all were reported into Renatas, the project manager and everything was resolved quickly and efficiently to my complete satisfaction. I fully recommend Central Lofts for your planned loft extension and am confident that after a 12 - 18 month building project as I have just been through with them, I could not be happier with the quality of the overall finished product. We decided to use Central Lofts for our loft conversion after being recommended by a friend. We were told to use Pasha's team and work started as per the schedule. They finished the work in 5 weeks! It was amazing at the pace they worked! They were all hardworking, friendly and very skilled. My kids still talk about them and they miss their smiling faces. We are so happy with our loft and the way the work was done. Our loft was constructed whilst a storm occurred; we did have damage from the storm but the team came back straight away to fix whatever was required. Special shout out to Renatas who would always be available on Whatsapp and answer any queries we have. I highly recommend Central Lofts to anyone looking at getting their loft done.

An all-round excellent experience. I'm so happy with both the build and the finish - all of which CL delivered. We received a couple of quotes from similar companies, Huw was the only one who took the time to provide some initial sketches of the space - which really helped bring the project to life for us. As anyone, I was a bit nervous prior to the work starting. However as soon as the work began I knew we were in good hands. Absolutely all the tradesmen were skilled, friendly and worked super hard. A special shout-out to Renatas, the contracts manager, who really did go above and beyond to help. Responding to my many queries and questions any day of the week - always extremely helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend CL - so if you're reading this and thinking about whether to go with them or not I would say go for it!

I undertook a loft conversion in SW London, adding a 3rd bedroom and ensuite to a 2 bedroom Victorian house. I could not be happier with the end product, and am very grateful to the entire Central Lofts team for doing it all within budget and within my 7 week timeline. The process began in April 2021, when I met Huw who provided me with a quote and did an initial assessment as to whether the house I intended to purchase would be suitable for a conversion without lowering ceilings or raising the ridge height as other neighbours had done. Although I obtained many other quotes from established businesses, I decided to go with Central Lofts because of Huw. He was happy to take the time to accompany me on viewings despite the fact I hadn't yet purchased the house. He also explained to me various techniques they could use (steels embedded within ceiling joists for example) that although more complicated for the builders, would maximise ceiling height without having to lower ceilings or raise the roof ridge height. The build started in November, a few weeks after I purchased the house, and completed the day before Xmas. The team who built the dormer were exemplary. I cannot thank Georgi, Yuri and Stefan enough. The latter two worked 10hr days daily without fail. All my neighbours were impressed by the intensity; they had never seen such diligence and pace. A special mention needs to go to the carpenters who constructed the staircase and spindles (Darius and team); the curve and elegance is totally in keeping with the Victorian period and it's almost hard to imagine that it was never there previously. I have received countless compliments on the new staircase. It also serves it's main purpose of ensuring that maximum floor space is created in the loft above, by ensuring the 'turn' is angled as such to not take up too much space at the end opening. The electrician and plumber also deserve a special mention. Thank you Al for sorting me out with USB sockets so the house could be brought into the 21st century haha. Last but absolutely not least, Renatas. As the project manager he often bore the brunt of my frequenr WhatsApp messages at all hours of the day, any day of the week. This build would not have happened on time and on budget without him. He kept everyone on point and synchronised wherever possible and made this project so much easier for a novice like me.

We were recommended Central Lofts by an acquaintance and we are so glad we took the advice. Very professional, great work and highly efficient. Our attic conversion project was perfectly executed and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Two thumbs up! We met David in Nov 2020 when he initiated the whole process. David was thorough in explaining to us the various aspects of loft conversion and made us comfortable with the planning process, approvals needed, drawings and the kind of budget we should look at. It was a side hip to gable and rear dormer to include a master bedroom and a shower room. At the pre-commencement meeting the timelines and the stages were very well explained by Renatas who was our projects manager. Execution started in the 2nd week of March 2021. Renatas and his team were very professional and tried to stick to the timeframes all throughout. Considering covid affecting everything there were few delays but we were always kept informed and our expectations were well managed. We had a loft conversion completed by Central Lofts in Spring 2021. We had several companies come out and quote, but Central were by far the most professional, with no pressure applied. Huw was so helpful and knowledgeable. The work started on time, and our Project Manager, Renatas was fantastic, he was incredibly patient with our questions and queries and quick to respond when we needed him to. The work required us to have all our Ceilings lowered and Renatas and the builders were amazing working round us as this was done. The building team were first class, always on time, worked so hard and happy to deal with any questions or changes we might have. The work was finished on-time, with no issues, the quality of the work was very high and we are absolutely thrilled with the finished conversion. I am very much hoping that Central will come back and help us with another large project shortly. I'd recommend them and have done frequently.

Our experience with Central Lofts was excellent. All works were completed without any faults and within the timeframe they originally stated. The whole project of our loft conversion was conducted professionally and courteously. There were occasionally some delays caused by genuine logistical reasons, but these were more than compensated for by the brilliant end result. The particularly impressive aspect of the work was the high standard of craftsmanship and workmanship in the different phases of the project. We are now the proud owners of a stunning loft apartment.

We wanted a space just for us and asked central lofts to help, they were understanding to our needs and work started exactly the day they said it would, everyone from Huw to the boys that did the main build (very quick I may add) to the plumber and electrician did an amazing job and sorted a few things for me as well, I would recommend them as they were not the cheapest but not the dearest but the quality of work was great and up to now we have had no problems Many thanks to Renatas who I bothered daily for putting up with me lol , thanks Again Simon and Lucy BR8

I met with a few different companies when I was looking to get a hip to gable loft conversion done. From the start my impression of Central Lofts was that they were the most responsive and professional of the companies that I had contacted. Their price was also very competitive. Pre-contract and planning stages were handled very well, our ideas and requirements were taken on board and they were always available if we had any additional questions. During the build stage Renatas and his team were excellent. They were polite, professional and stuck to the promised timeframes. They also have an app that is used to update the customer on costs, build stage and so on which I thought was excellent. They stayed within the quoted costs even though we made some changes during the build process. All in all an excellent company that I would absolutely recommend to others.
