We have had the best experience with this building company all the way through from start to finish. I was initially recommended by a neighbour, after receiving half hearted quotes from other companies who did not seem to make it easy, at least for someone like myself with no building experience. Lee Murphy and his team took care of every aspect of my loft conversion including all the plans/permits etc and stuck to the time frame quoted, in fact earlier and bang on budget. I have always been dubious when it comes to the building trade, but LMB have nothing but impressed me with their professionalism. The team kept me up to date embracing WhatsApp as a line of communication which I though was very effective as I always knew what was going on and could communicate if I had any concerns. I have no reservations recommended LMB, and must mention, I had a small niggle after the finish which was taken care of promptly and efficiently, which in my book a good indicator of how a business is run.

Had our loft done by LMB. Work started on time and main building work came in ahead of schedule. Lots of different trades were involved and coordinated by the office and project manager. Of course we still had to keep a look over to make sure all was done to our requirements but overall an impressive and professional group of trades. All specialised in their own fields. Even had some unexpected damage from strong winds and scaffolding- which the company made good. Very helpful to have a WhatsApp group set up from the start with trades coming in as needed. As with any construction work be sure to understand your contract parameters well and keep an eye on budget. Special mention to our site foreman Dean who answered every question we had; and the plumber Matt who moved our bathroom fittings to suit our height and preferences.

LMB did a loft conversion for us. We had a few teething problems regarding the planning permission phase, but once we sorted those out, the work done was really good quality. The builders were extremely reliable, trustworthy and tidy- I was really surprised there was almost no mess internally (we stayed in our house during the work). All the tradesmen delivered high quality work and were overall very reliable on timings. They were also very trustworthy. LMB were responsive to us throughout about any issue we raised. LMB have undertaken the conversion of a tricky loft space to create a great new bedroom with walk-in wardrobe for us. We have had a very good experience - the project has come in on time and to the price we were quoted, which has been reassuring in what has been our first ever building project. Following the initial helpful visit from Ricki in the sales team and the quote being issued, we asked a great deal of questions and Ricki and Lee were very patient in answering everything to the detail we needed, to give us comfort in making our choice to go with LMB. One of the best things is that the tradespeople are all lined up to come in at scheduled points, all coordinated by Ollie the Project Manager who has always been contactable by WhatsApp and has helped to sort out any issues arising, including some late changes to the proposed design at our request which he was able to accommodate. Likewise, Philomena in the office has always been on hand to answer questions about our project whenever we have needed. The efficiency of this process, and knowing when to expect people on site has made things much less stressful. Being part of a project WhatsApp group with all the trades was also great as it meant we have always had the reassurance of being able to ask questions and raise any queries with Ollie or any of the project team. The workmanship has been of excellent quality - the build team have been extremely efficient and the quality of finishes, particularly by Jermaine the carpenter, are of a very high standard. We would recommend LMB for anyone in the south London area thinking about getting their loft converted.

Dorma Loft Conversion LMB were great from start to finish. For what could have been an incredibly stressful time, LMB made my experience of a major building project relatively painless. Yes, there were issues, which anyone would expect on such a venture, but LMB were quick to respond and put things right (even going as far as sending flowers to my neighbours to apologise for excess noise from the scaffolding). Ricki, the sales rep and the first person I met from LMB, was friendly, knowledgeable and understood my requirements whilst coming up with some great ideas to incorporate into the quote. The quote wasn’t the cheapest I received, but I felt reassured by the obvious professionalism that came from Ricki and the accompanying documentation which broke down each element of the build to let me know where my money was going. Ollie, the project manager, visited and gave the impression that he and LMB cared that my loft was constructed to the best quality and that he’d be overseeing every aspect of the build. He explained what should be happening and when and kept me posted on deviations from the original plan. The trades were efficient, professional and ensured all finishes were of the highest quality, and they treated my house with respect which was very important for me. I’d like to give a special mention to Ryan (and Harry) who built the main structure. He provided good advice and genuinely cared that I had a good experience and that the loft and bathroom ended up being a great living space. All of the above was made easy to understand and manage due to the excellent WhatsApp Group that LMB set up with me and all trades included so we could keep up to date on progress and ensure there were no clashes of opposite trades (e.g. plumber and electrician on the dame day). I would absolutely recommend LMB to anyone considering a loft conversion.

I recently had a loft conversion done by LMB and I am so happy with the end result which has completely transformed my home. 
The conversion added an extra bedroom and an en-suite whilst maintaining vital storage space in my home. It was quite a difficult project due to layout of the roof and size of the house but LMB managed to work around any issues and have given me the space I had dreamed of, all their suggestions worked and completely maximised the space available. 
All of the trades teams were very professional, clean, tidy and respectful and all work was completed to a very high standard. LMB set up a what’s app group for myself the project manager Ollie and all the tradesmen involved so communication was fantastic, you can put any questions/queries on there which are answered in a timely manor. Also all the timings ect for the various different trades were communicated through here. I really liked this level of communication and it really swayed my choice when deciding who to go with for the build. Ollie the project manager visited my home on many occasions to check on progress whilst managing all of the work timings. I would highly recommend LMB and would use them again in the future.

Very happy with end product! Sales rep was lovely, not all pushy and quoted us a competitive price. All trades very respectful and attentive delivering a high standard of work, particularly Ryan who was fantastic! The dust was kept to a minimum and all trades were very respectful of our family and home. Our project manager Ollie was very knowledgeable, was very pleased with his inspection at the end of snags and how these were resolved to ensure a high finish. I completed my loft conversion back in July 2023 and overall I am happy with the finished product. Initially, I had 10 loft companies in the running. Following a throughout selection process, I finally settled on LMB and they did not disappoint. When the site foreman came on site to check the structural calculations I had provided, he identified an issue with the drawings. They were quick to rectify the calculations so not to cause delay to the starting date. One of the strongest points I would say is the quality of the subcontractors working for LMB (the vetting is excellent!!!). Each subcontractor assigned to my job was polite, professional and skilled in their area of expertise. The same applies to their choice of suppliers. I was particularly impressed with the staircase company and the quality of their products. I have had many compliments on the staircase from friends who came to see the work and building control themselves (I used the local authority). I would also like to call out Paul Cahill, the supplier for the sliding doors. When I was trying to resolve an issue with building control, Paul did not hesitate to offer his help and even offered to be on site during the final inspection. Even though he did not have to do this since this was outside of his remit, I really appreciated him going the extra mile to help me. All in, I am happy with the work produced by LMB and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to convert their loft.

I would definitely recommend LMB Group Ltd for your loft build up. As we were ready to make the big jump and get our loft done ( 2 bedrooms and a bathroom) we looked at various building companies. LMB stood out for us for their transparency and customer service from the pitch onwards. Fair prices too compared to other companies. All the contractors used by LMB were knowledgeable and trustworthy. We were also pleased that the build overall was faster than anticipated. LMB head office kept in touch with us regularly over the phone or over WhatsApp, where we also had direct contact with the various builders from the site. We are very happy with the finished loft. Overall don't hesitate to go with LMB. Very professional. The only reason we gave 4star rather than 5 star review was that the project manager assigned to us was not up to the task and we had to chase him time and again. Several issues arised and he was nowhere to be seen. We appreciate the owner getting involved to resolve issues that might have risen from this. One strong point too from LMB is that you can talk to the builders on site and ask them to rectify anything you might spot, which for us was great listening and customer service from builders. We will definitely recommend LMB to friends and family.

We contacted LMB Group about doing our loft conversion. They sent one of their team over to have a look and provided a quotation quickly. After contracting, LMB set up a WhatsApp group with our project manager, allocated builders and trades people. This made it very convenient to discuss issues, wants and needs as the project progressed. The quality of the workmanship is very good throughout – from structural to carpentry, plumbing and electrics to bathroom instillation and tiling. The end result is a very spacious loft conversation which we enjoy living in.

We had a rear dormer room built on our terrace home by LMB. We're very happy with the outcome which gives us everything we needed at a price which was good compared to other quotes we received. Initially there was a problem with our quote which meant we couldn't get exactly what we had expected but ultimately this didn't turn out to be a problem, our project manager Ollie looked at what we were working with and devised a really sleek, smart alternative which left us really happy with the final results. All the trades they brought in were good and were friendly and professional. The build went on a bit longer than we hoped and that would be one criticism but these things can happen with these projects. The important thing for us is that our project manager ensured all trades came back to fix any snags, and if they couldn't he ensured an alternative sorted the problem. The whatsapp group was a useful tool for communicating and keeping on top of what was happening when. Where issues had to be fixed, such as a broken chimney pot or some minor damage caused by scaffolders, LMB did so with little fuss which was important for us as I know this isn't always the case with building companies. Overall we're thrilled with our new loft space and a big thanks to everyone who helped get it built.

We met with several building companies to discuss having a loft conversion & after a lot of thought chose LMB. We wanted an extra bedroom, an en-suite & storage! Ours was not straight forward as lack of head height meant lowering the ceilings to allow for extra height in the conversion however, we were impressed at how smoothly & how quickly this went. Several trades made up the team that completed our conversion, our first fix team, led by Ashley, were incredible! Our project manager coordinated the trades. The office quickly picked up anything that was needed. There was a WhatsApp group that connected us to the whole team involved with our build and this worked really well to ensure communication was fluid throughout & no information was lost. I would recommend LMB.

I have just completed my loft conversion and extremely happy with the quality of work, finsh and the professionalism each tradesman have carried out . I have had many quotes from different builders ,LMB was not the cheapest but was recommended to me by my friend who used LMB to convert his loft. LMB gave me 12 weeks to complete the project and to my utmost surprise the project was completed in 9 weeks with no compromise on quality. If I have to rate the tradesmen I would rate them as follows-: Matts Dane , plumber 10/10 great guy always gives the right advise Mats Simpson, electrician 10/10 Project manager 9 /10 , 10/10 LMB office and dedicated WhatsApp group . Eguin the joists 9/10 This is the first major building work I have done, and I am glad I have decided to go with LMB with not much headaches, there were few Hiccups but their office and the Whataap group was there to resolve them . I'll start this review by answering probably the three most important questions people want to know: Q) Were we happy with LMB Group? A) Most definitely! Q) Would we recommend LMB Group to others? A) Without hesitation! Q) Would we use LMB Group again for another project? A) Yes! Our loft extension was our first ever construction project and we were a little sceptical from the outset that things would go as expected. Keen to employ a local company we searched online reviews, got 3 x quotes and settled on LMB. From quote to completion the project went smoothly. LMB were able to start our loft conversion a little earlier than originally estimated which was not a problem for us. Our project manager visited us before works commenced, talked us through the timetable and helped put our minds at ease about the likely disruption involved whilst living below a construction site in the middle of winter! From the moment the scaffolding went up (we opted for the tin-hat addition which I would recommend) the work continued at pace and all the targets in our building timeline were met, or exceeded. We had regular site visits from our project manager who always made himself available when required. All LMB's tradesmen such as plumbers, electricians etc. were very professional and I'd be more than happy to use each one again or recommend them to others.

Our project was not a standard loft conversion as it involved lengthening the ridge line by over 4m resulting in a completely new roof and extending the side first floor rooms by over 2m to match the ground floor footprint. LMB Lofts contacted us as we were obtaining planning permission and although we had a number of quotes for the work, we decided to go with LMB. Along with a competitive quotation, the main reasons for choosing LMB were having all our questions and queries answered quickly by Lee, being given details of past customers who we were able to meet and talk about their experience (all good) and that they were local, with offices in Shirley. We had Ollie as our Project Manager and we found him very knowledgeable and easy to work with. If any issues came up, he would work with us to resolve them to our satisfaction. I would also say that Ollie and Lee always stood by what they said they would do and have assembled a group of very competent subcontractors who carried out the different elements of the work. We are very pleased with the end result as the conversion has given us everything we wanted from it and the external finish of the new build matches with the existing building extremely well, which was important to us.

Very pleased with the build from LMB. We had a big two room and seperate bathroom loft conversion put in. Everyone who came to the house wether builders or tradesmen were polite and considerate. They gave us a clear break down of costs and pay schedule and the price of the build hardly inflated throughout. They establish a whattsapp group with all the tradesman on so the communication was pretty good and you can have see a history of what’s been said and when etc. The quality of the build has been good and sorting out a few snags at the end wasn’t an issue. Office staff were friendly but only needed to ring once or twice and not about major things.

I would like to say a special thanks to Ollie the project manager the office team and all of trades that worked on my project. There were a couple of minor problems along the way. But overall I am really happy with the final results. The build was completed to a very high standard of work and ahead of schedule. Competitive quote with incentives compared to other companies, they were able to gain really good head height despite our low roof without lowering ceiling on first floor (which other companies couldn't offer). Happy with quality of work from the relevant trades. Good Comms from office staff. There were a few issues during the project but having simultaneous access to the office, foreman and tradesmen helped with satisfactory resolutions. Overall we are happy with our new loft space of 2 big bedrooms and a bathroom.

To save anyone reading this some time, we definitely recommend LMB. The end product is fab. The build quality, finishes, design all top notch. Pricing fully transparent (You hear some shockers out there). Everything we had with LMB was just as planned. Everything was wrapped up in a timely manner and they took great care of the rest of the house. Why: We decided to get the loft conversion done for an extra two bedrooms and a bathroom to create more space for our two kids and us while still having space for family to come and stay. The useable storage space has also been a huge bonus. We engaged with a few loft companies but landed on LMB to do the job and we’re delighted we went with them. Price wise they’re not THE the cheapest but you’re getting a lot more for the little extra you may spend in terms of quality build, quality of finish as well as the hands-on management, design, flexibility and any problem solving. Why LMB? - Top results from Houzz and using these reviews so thought it would be good to do a proper review. LMB consistently came up tops in the ones we had read but they were rather brief. - They’ve done the loft conversions for two of our friends. Both were delighted with the quality, service, price and care taken. - Some loft conversion companies do a few a year and rely on a couple “jack of all trades” guys to both build and finish. With LMB, we had an excellent building project manager (Lee Teeley) who rotates in the required specialist for each stage, continuously inspects the work, signs it off and is more hands-on whenever it was required (Builders, carpenters, plumbing team, electricians, 1st fitters, 2nd fixers etc.. all the way down to the mastic man doing all your seals at the end were superior) - You can have as much or little engagement as you wish but you have a group WhatsApp to see everything progress and team communicate between eachother (handy keeping us all on the same page as my wife is on maternity leave and I’m in the office. The company boss Lee Murphy is also in the chat to oversee all their projects. Design process - very tailored and we were well covered with Rickie as the early stage point of contact to realise the vision and funnel the broader plans to the architects. It seemed daunting at the beginning, but she had the answers. Some early planning ideas from Rickie have really lifted the end result; the skylight above the stairs, peloton stable, home office area, storage ideas, bathroom layout etc Process - smooth and on time with the plan laid out. Finishing - all the specialists/tradesmen that have been part of the project were excellent. I’d recommend always going with theirs instead of your own as they share a collecting responsibility and all report back to the project manager. If you’ve made it this far in the review then I guess you’re seriously considering getting the conversion done and if you’d like some seriously well considered work to be done then go with LMB. Very good architecture designs and advice. Good comunication and guidance from LMB at start of project. Loft space completed very good and bathroom looks amazing. There were some external issues with tiles, roof, brickwork. fixed by LMB builders, Very good response.

We've just had our loft done with LMB. Decided to use them as we live very local to their office in Shirley, we went for a shell build. My husband is finishing off internals. Competitive pricing was the main reason we chose them, yes there are a few negative reviews, but mostly good. Once signed up, your given a breakdown of costs, when to pay and who to pay to. Some go straight to LMB some goes straight to sub contractor, this is pretty normal practice by the way. My husband’s a builder himself, so had no concerns on this front. Very straight forward, whapsapp group was brilliant, kept me well informed with tradesman and LMB. If your thinking of getting your loft done and think its gonna be super easy and straight forward, you might be in for a shock. Having a big build done while your living there is hard, thats to be expected, sometimes theres delays with materials, again thats to be expected. Things don't always run smoothly, but Ollie the project manager kept me informed and so did the office staff at LMB. The team they use were brilliant, every tradesman that came to the house was respectful polite, cleaned up after themselves. Slawek and Daniel were great, they installed the steal beams and done most of the build, Harry the roofer was also really nice. Can’t fault the guys they use. If you go into a big build knowing the price up front and realising at times there will be delays, mostly due to suppliers not having material, or having trouble saucing material, then you’ll be fine. LMB are like no other trades people I have encountered. Customer satisfaction is clearly their focus and this is why I will always recommend them to anyone I know. I work in the retail industry and I know how important customer service is, as without customers you have no business. The work carried out was done ahead of schedule, extremely reasonable and to a very high standard. Lee Murphy is a real gentleman, in-fact all the staff in the group are spot on.

Overall we had a really good experience with LMB during the construction of our loft, in no small part due to the team of excellent contractors that they hired for the job. Eugin and his team were incredible; punctual, hard-working, diligent and meticulous. They had the most incredible work ethic and I really felt that they worked in our best interest. It was amazing to see these guys rip down a roof, build a dormer and then rebuild the roof in the span of a couple of weeks. Ollie was our project manager and he did well in scheduling all the various services and contractors under some really tight timescales - I really got the sense that LMB knew what they were doing when lining up the various phases of the job. Aside from a blip during a weeklong vacation, communication was strong throughout. I particularly liked the payment schedule and the breakdown of the materials and labour costs. If there was one criticism I would make, it would be around the accuracy of the quote. Almost immediately upon commencement of the project, we saw sizeable increases in some costs due to additional materials required to meet regulations. I would think that a prolific local loft-building company ought to have predicted this in advance and included them in the original quote. I understand that Covid, Brexit etc. has spiked materials cost, but I would have expected this to be considered. In actuality, it seemed like a deficiency in the architect's plans. The plans almost caused us another, more major problem when the stairs came to be fitted as they were not designed to regulation. Thankfully the stair company were able to reconfigure the layout just fine, but it literally came within an inch of needing to move the wall to our 3rd bedroom! We've only just moved into our loft some 3 months after completion (due to timescales on fitted wardrobes etc.) and are currently really enjoying our beautiful new space. So far, LMB have been great at sending people over to take a look at snagging items so I'm pleased with their aftercare at this time.

We were introduced to LMB Lofts by their friendly and knowledgeable rep Ricki. She came to inspect the space and tell what the company had to offer. Once we agreed to go ahead LMB organised an architect, the Building Control application, and the installation of a new hot water cylinder prior to commencement. Ours was a 10 week build that completed on time. The quote was over £52k but the actual cost was closer to £60k because the quote excluded the hot water cylinder, Building Control, Tin Hat, ensuite fixtures and fittings, fire doors, etc. Ollie our Project Manager went over the work schedule, payments, and inspections. He visited approximately once a fortnight. LMB set up a WhatsApp group to help keep the project on track using messaging and images. Many thanks to Slawek and Daniel, they were fantastic. They built the dormer, installed the Steels, the insulation, the floor, the walls, and the stairs. Also Harry the roofer, Eddie the tiler, Matt the Plumber, Matt the electrician, plasterers Grant and Mathew, and Andy the carpenter to name a few. The trades arrived on time, worked tirelessly, tidied up after themselves, and caused minimal disruption. They worked to such tight timescales that the odd detail would get missed but they were quickly put right. There are still a couple of snagging issues, but overall, we are satisfied customers.

Our experience was excellent to say the least. We had just finished refurbishing and then decided to have a loft conversion and LMB was superior to what we had experienced with our previous contractor. The timing, the cost management, the swift transfer between the tradesmen was flawless and we are now very happy with a beautiful large loft bedroom. My Wife and I chose LMB to build our side dormer and we're very happy with the results! The new build looks amazing on the inside and out and has made so much more space. The whole project took a little longer than expected to complete and as didn't go without it's share of stress and disruption but the results are fantastic and well worth it. Lee Teeley, the project manager, always made himself available to discuss any concerns we had and took a great deal of pride in his work to get things done at a high standar and having a WhatsApp group to get daily updates from all the trades was useful.

My wife and I were actually leafleted by LMB (didn’t think that stuff actually worked) after our planning application was accepted. The initial build was finished quickly (inside 3 months) and to a very high standard. The workmen were respectful and did a great job. We were able to live in the property throughout (with a baby). The project definitely required a lot of additional project management from my side (I’m a perfectionist), but ultimately we are very happy with the outcome. We had a few hiccups along the way, but having done 2 loft projects before, I can say this was to be expected. We made our last payment before all the snags were finished, but I was never concerned that they would ghost us, even if something else went wrong. In fact, once the tin hat came down, we found one of our windows had a leak - to LMBs credit they have since sent numerous tradesmen back to facilitate a fix. The scaffolding has stayed up, to allow access. All at their expense. Only thing left is for the scaffolding to come down and for the final tidy up. WhatsApp group really helped with communication. For such a big financial commitment, it is really difficult to give the greenlight to anyone, but overall, if you are thinking about using a company, LMB did a great job, stayed communicative and delivered an excellent end product.

We used LMB for our loft conversion with a dormer, my partner and I are very happy with the result. The price we were quoted was very competitive, and the quality of workmanship from the contractors used was high. The project wasn’t without a few setbacks. It took much longer to get started and complete than anticipated. And knowing when contractors were coming and going was a bit unpredictable and required a bit of chasing from us. Thankfully this was less of an issue as one of us is usually working from home and we weren’t working to strict timings. We found the WhatsApp group set up between us, LMB, and the trade people very useful. And the weekly calls with the team was helpful to feedback and get updates. Despite the odd challenges, we are very happy with the work and the help from LMB on our lovely new loft.

LMB started our loft conversion as agreed and we were kept updated throughout the build. LMB designed and built hip to gamble loft conversion for us. I was recommended LMB by a neighbour who had already had a similar project completed by the company. The team were knowledgeable, pleasant, reliable and very easy to communicate with. Our project manager Lee kept everything well organised in terms of deliveries of supplies and coordinating trades so the project ran smoothly without unnecessary delays. The completed work is to a high standard that we are very happy with. The price of the loft conversion was reasonable as well as processing time.

We contracted LMB Group to convert the loft in our 2-bedroom terrace based on positive reviews and discussions with the company at the pre-design phase. Overall we ARE happy with the build, however I wanted to write this review to outline some issues with the design/ build process. Pros : The trades that LMB used were *very* good. Ryan - the builder - did a great job. As did our electrician, the plasterers, roofers, plumbers and carpenter. The work itself was carried out very efficiently and as tidily as possible given the circumstances. Cons : LMB's project management felt stretched - as though they were juggling a lot of post-lockdown projects. The biggest problem by far with this was that no structural engineer ever visited which meant that a non-load bearing wall was mis-identified as load bearing which meant extra work after the loft structure was already in place, plus a 1st floor interior wall needed adjusting to make room for the stairs - again, due to the architect basically phoning in the work all based on estimated measurements. A lot of things were re-worked on the fly. The project manager did resolve some issues, but a lot of the coordination was left up to ourselves and the individual trades which meant a lack of continuity as they left to move onto other jobs. I ended up having to fix some snags myself plus measure up for doors because there was no agreement on who was responsible. I realise that I've elaborated more on the negative than the positive, but the project was more stressful than I felt it should have been. Fortunately it all seems to have worked out, but I could have done without things like worrying about the integrity of walls due to having no engineer on site. LMB do seem to employ very good tradespeople to carry out the work, however the lack of attention to detail at the planning stage caused too many problems.

LMB done a really good job on our loft, the quality of work carried out by the different trades was of a very high standard. There was a delayed start to our project but overall this was made up by the high standard of finish by the teams that were allocated to our project.

LMB Completed the work on my loft conversion over the past few months. The start of the process was amazing with Laurence the builder b big faultless throughout. After the main build was completed it moved over to the project manager. This didn’t start of well, but was later removed for Ollie who has picked up the project well. The workmanship seems to be of a very high standard and generally very happy. This did over run slightly but was kept informed and still very happy over all.

LMB's slogan 'Integrity in Construction' is in my experience an accurate indicator of the service Lee's company delivers. They provided a clear and unambiguous contract and all the different tradesmen took great pride in their work and ensured that we were satisfied with their respective inputs to our loft project. Professional company. Good build quality. Original build was very quick then some waiting around for tradesmen but roughly within time frame. Not a criticism of LMB Group but bear in mind cost of things not included in the quote!

We recently had our loft conversion carried out by LMB after a recommendation from some friends of ours who had done the same and we couldn't be happier with the results, it's like living in a show home. All the guys working on the project we're excellent, tidy, reliable, and kept us updated with what was going on and what decisions would need to be made. Ryan who did a lot of the building work especially was top drawer, sending daily videos of what was being done, and making tweaks to things as he went to solve us problems we weren't seeing - lining the windows and hatches up so they would be symmetrical after the wardrobes went in, reinforcing the wall so we will have a place to mount the TV when we get to it etc. Nice touches that we would have missed. There were a few bumps along the way where unexpected issues popped up - as there always will be, and each time we were able talk to Lee and work through to a happy compromise on solutions to them. Once the main job was finished the guys came back and tidied up all the loose ends, patching up bits of wall, boxing in new pipework, fixing the dips in the drive and got everything ready to be decorated. 100% would use these guys again if I am ever in need of a loft conversion.

Overall a very good experience. The project overran (which is to be expected of any building project) but communication was solid throughout and the final end product we are very happy with. Brandon who undertook the structural work was in particular excellent and I could not praise him highly enough. The 'finishing' of the project dragged due to general market unavailability of a carpenter which was a shame. Mark the project manager did a decent job of keeping on top of things and Philomena in the office was superb in getting things finalised at the end. Whilst I would recommend LMB I think that if more realistic timeframes (and corresponding costings) were provided from the outset (and updated during the build) this would be highly beneficial in managing client expectations.

Overall really happy with quality of the work from LMB. Fairly large loft area converted (L-shaped 6m x 6m), including rear dormer, WC & staircase. LMB quote was slightly more than another company, but we liked LMB's approach and it worked out good value based on the quality. Start delayed 3mths due to workers off with covid & took 14 weeks (exc snags) vs 12 wks planned. Not bad, but we did have to chase more than we'd expect to. Workers were friendly, tidy, courteous and experienced. The WhatsApp group for comms worked well. LMB made good after a couple of rain leaks. Snagging quality was average; we held payment until it was done. We're very happy with our new loft.

We had a double dorma extension this summer. In all, we were pleased with the finish. Would highly recommend Eugene as a site foreman. Carpenter wasn't as impressed by and had to chase more than we would have wanted to LMB, but went to budget and only a couple of weeks behind schedule. We would recommend.

Great workmanship and any issues along the way were dealt with. Since the build has finished, we had an issue with the roof and gutter and both issues were promptly rectified.

LMB have been fantastic throughout our project. Lee had some initial great ideas around how to maximise the space in our loft and worked with our architect to ensure we got the most out of the space. We had no issues with any materials because the team at LMB ordered everything way ahead of time. Silviu was our foreman and was simply great at what he did- he transformed an unused space into 2 bedrooms and a bathroom within 5 weeks. I was impressed by the timeline of the additional trades (Plumber, Electrician and tiling etc.) and I think we only had 2-3 days in 8 weeks that no one was onsite. Lee and Mark also dealt with a query from my neighbour very well and went above and beyond to offer as much assistance as possible. I can't recommend the team at LMB enough for what they have achieved with our house and they have transformed our standard of living in a very short space of time (2 weeks ahead of schedule)

LMB have constructed a wonderful loft conversion on our house. It’s wonderful to have the extra room, and the quality of the workmanship is fantastic. Everyone comments on how well the extension has been done, including other professionals (painters, carpet layers etc., totally independent of LMB) who have been to the house. The attention to detail has been amazing- just little things like way the carpentry has been finished - which takes the whole thing to a higher level. LMB also solved a lot of potential problems as we went along, such as the arrangement of the sky light in the stair well. Getting this right made a huge difference to the light coming into the house. All in all, it’s a great loft conversion!

We absolutely love our new loft space. LMB had a huge job to complete - we now have 4 bedrooms, a snug lounge and 2 bathrooms in our roof!! LMB completed a loft conversion and kitchen installation for us in December 2020 and did a great job. The process for the loft was very straight forward and once Lee completed his first visit, we received a tailored quote very quickly. All aspects of the loft conversion were covered on a detailed plan so we knew what was included in the cost. Rob and Alex were the 2 men responsible for the main construction and they were absolutely fantastic. They arrived in good time every morning and we hardly heard from them all day. very clean and tidy and always kept us informed of what stage they were at and consulted us on where things were going to be. Cannot praise them both enough. Carpentry, plumbing, tiling and electrics were completed by separate tradesmen, and although the quality of finish was good, we did find it difficult to liaise directly with the plumbing and electrics suppliers. Having said that if ever there was an issue with contact, Lee (the MD) was always able to intervene and sort it out. It took around 3 months to complete both the loft and the kitchen and we also had a new roof installed at the same time. During those 3 months we did encounter a few issues, mainly around communication (as mentioned above), but we did have one instance of materials not being secured properly which resulted in some damage to one of our cars and a problem with our kitchen floor, however, this was rectified immediately. all in all, we would absolutely recommend LMB for your loft conversion. They are experienced, clean, tidy and good at what they do.

the LMB group carried out a successful loft conversion for me and i am happy to report that it was a very good experience from start to finish. Having the "builders in" can be a stressful time but Lee managed the whole process so well we basically left them to it. Lee and the team took us through the planning stages by introducing us to his in house architect who in turn took our wish list and turned it into something we could work with and then got us through the planning maze. we agreed a contract sum and a start date when the the planning was granted. LMB started on time and progressed the build in line with a draft program. we made some dynamic tweaking to the design but all this was accomplished within the original time frame with agreed cost. we also asked Lee to re-roof the whole house so as to avoid the patching of roof tiles which he accommodated again with an agreed sum. all in all I would have no hesitation in recommending the LMB group as they have shown themselves to be thoroughly professional, dedicated and trustworthy. they left the project spotless and were happy to carry out further works if we so desired. we didn't but they gave us that option.

Had Loft conversion 2015. Had slight damp patch appear late December 2020 on dormer flat roof. Called LMB (as still under 10 year guarantee). Within a few days their team of roofers came out, had a look and fixed offending felt, which had slightly lifted up due to driving rain. Great service, no extra charge and true to their guarantee. Always had great reliable service from LMB. Would highly recommend.

Very good service right from the beginning, quote was very accurate. Builders excellent, kept us informed, arrived on time, very tidy and gave us good suggestions. The build was finished within timescale and all trades were professional and did a good job.

We had a complete loft conversion done in under 2 months with LMB - 2 bedrooms and a bathroom! A truly impressive turnaround; completed to an exceptional standard and great quality. The workmanship is first class with everyone from the builders, plumber, tiler, roofer, electrician, decorator etc doing a fantastic and highly professional job. They all work incredibly hard! LMB provided a friendly service, always there if you needed, and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, we are very happy the end result is far nicer than we had anticipated!

We have just had a rear Dorma loft conversion completed and are really happy with the final result!! LMB were excellent and kept us up to date and informed throughout the project, with anticipated timelines and step by step progress. In particular Lee was very personable and available, keeping the project on track and offering reassurances when needed . Even before the build started we were impressed with the complete service provided by the company, who were able to answer any questions raised. They completed the project within the estimated time and budget although we went with some optional upgrades during the build. There were, as I'm sure with most builds, some delays and unforeseen set backs, but these were dealt with quickly and properly. The standard of the trades people was also excellent and we could not fault them for their professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend LMB and would be happy to engage with them in the future.

We hired LMB for our loft conversion earlier this year. We are so pleased with the end result. The carpenters, plumbers in fact all the contractors were professional, friendly and hardworking. Lee the project manager walked us through every step whilst works were being carried out and Joanne who works in the office is so friendly if we needed anything she was always on hand to help I would recommend LMB everyday. We love our beautiful loft conversion! From start to finish we had good advice from the LMB team and a very high standard of work. It was completed ahead of schedule and with minimal invasion to our busy family life (something I had been worried about happening). It’s absolutely immaculate and the envy of our neighbours now.

We would recommend LMB based on the quality of the trades they use and the flexibility shown in completing the project on time. They were also avaliable and receptive to discussions on how the project was delivered. A clearer schedule of works and the addition of a project plan plus the elimination of errors requiring rectification would, in our opinion, help LMB move towards 5 stars.

We had our loft extension completed with LMB in 2015. From start to finish we were looked after every day. The build was finished at monumental speed (no doubt assisted by the pressure of a very obvious, looming baby bump!), and there wasn't a day that went passed that someone wasn't on site to keep things moving along. The tradesmen were all really good guys and I never felt that I had someone in my home that I wasn't comfortable with, or who wasn't doing a good job. The project management was seamless in that there were no gaps between trades - everything flowed really smoothly and the quality of the work was superb. (Our decorator whom we have used for many years commented that it was the best plastering he had ever painted.) When we had a small problem with a window 4 years later (there must have been a tiny leak as the window steamed up inside) they came out quickly and replaced it without issue. The build started the day my maternity leave started, and the scaffolding came down the day I returned from hospital! A little luck perhaps helped us along the way, but there is no doubt that the focus and dedication to the job is really what got us seamlessly through what could be quite a disruptive experience. It was in fact - for us - all rather easy!

We are very pleased with our new loft bedroom and shower room. LMB are a very proffesional group, very efficient and any difficulties were ironed out out promtly. From day one, they were on site constantly, and the job moved forward quickly to an early completion. We used all their tradesmen for the final decorating etc. Make sure, at the begining, the plans match your vision, the builders we had were brilliant, and helped us out with this enormously. Overall, very satisfied.

Taking on a house build of any kind can be daunting and overwhelming but we are delighted with our new loft. Having recently completed a double hip-to-gable loft conversion, I am very glad I chose LMB. I obtained several quotes and LMB were the most competitive, they were the only firm which met my specific criteria and I felt reassured of their high street presence. The team, particularly Matt & Rob, were both professional and courteous. Lee and the office were always available to be contacted and particularly patient of initial concerns and queries, of which I had many. Despite lockdown I was surprised at how quickly the loft came together. There were a few minor issues, which is expected during a large scale loft conversion, however they were dealt with swiftly which is a credit to the firm. Our new loft space is exceptional and we are so pleased with the end result and thus I would not hesitate to recommend LMB.

Great project management. Lee was very upfront on the costs . We were kept well informed about the schedule throughout the project . Very good finish to our completed loft , we have a fabulous space now , did not think it would free up so much living space. Workmen were very tidy and considerate .

Brilliant job completed by fantastic people! Lee and his team delivered a fantastic loft conversion in the time frame agreed and on cost. From day 1 you are reassured by the professionalism of all on site and any issue was sorted quickly and to our, the clients satisfaction - what more could you want! We always felt that the main goal was our satisfaction and Lee certainly delivered on that. My one bit of advice is keep an eye on the pace! It took me by surprise a little and as everyone is a specialist, separate plumbers, electricians and plasterers for example, so there is no hanging around and lost hours! The office staff at LMB are great at keeping you up to date to help with this. All in all, LMB transformed our empty space into an exquisite master suite and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lee and the rest of the team.
