“I had a large extension to the kitchen, with walls removed and supports added. They stuck to their schedule and quote, so there were no nasty surprises. The whole thing was minimal hassle given that I work from home. I'm really happy with the work done and would 100% recommend them to anyone.”

“We wanted a double storey extension built. J came out and explained to us the entire process. His company was more expensive than others but we went because we understood what he explained and we liked the concept plans. Throughout the process we let J and his team manage it for us. With the weather and supply issues the project was completed behind schedule but J and his team kept us informed throughout. We are glad that we hired them”

“A well-designed apartment fitted with quality fixtures and fittings. Chris and the team are professional and customer focused and closed out snagging items quickly and without making a fuss. Chris and his team are approachable which makes you feel that they care about the customer and the quality of the project. When a water tank seal failure was discovered in a few of the flats they were proactive in eliminating the risk of this happening in other units by quickly replacing the same seal in all the flats. A weekly newsletter keeps owners up to date with the progress being made to complete the development. This communication is vital to explain when and why plans slip, so that owners and tenants are in a better position to appreciate and understand the reasons for delays and disruptions.”

“We investigated a number of companies building the traditional way in oak and decided this was the best combination of price and quality. The first contract was for a garden room (conservatory) and it was completed on schedule within budget and the final result was better than we anticipated, despite having spent a lot of time on the details during the design stage. The site team was brilliant, friendly, very tidy and really caring about the details. We were so impressed we also contracted for an new entrance porch and and a replacement bay window. Both are now complete and we are really pleased with the end result. Only slight problem was the last job was delayed several weeks as the subcontractors had too much work on and needed a lot of chasing to get on with the job. Despite this a couple of weeks is nothing compared to the decades this should last looking great.”

“2nd Generation Building Services has completed two extension projects on my fairly ordinary 3-bedroom semi in Birmingham. In both cases, Nick Jones has projected managed the whole exercise wonderfully! Right from the beginning, there was full consultation about what I wanted and the project quote was very reasonable and detailed. Once accepted, I had a full project chart, which gave me a clear idea of how the project was going to pan out over several weeks. Nick has either been here, texted or emailed every day, so that I have known which professional to expect - builders, roofers, plasterers, electricians etc - and the timings have all been adhered to. He has been flexible about possible changes as we went along and has been an excellent source of advice throughout. I have confidently been on holiday and left him to it!
