Ian acted as our architect for an extension project back in 2001 and when we came to do a full renovation of our house 15 years later we were very happy to use his services once again. He is great to work with to realise your ambitions within your budget, get you over the line with the planning and building control authorities, find a contractor and then supervise the project through to completion. He has also helped a great deal with post completion and rectification issues and we are very happy with the results of our project with him. Ian is personable, thorough and professional and we have no hesitation in recommending him.

We chose Summit for our project on the recommendation of a friend. Having no clue about what is involved in adding an extension to our home, Im so glad we opted for Summit. From the first consultation they have walked us through every step, taking time to make sure we understood exactly what was happening. The plans were spot on first time and Summit ran everything perfectly and well within the time frame we were expecting. Our thanks to the whole team.

Architecture Unknown had the vision to guide us through a full conversion of a grade II listed building. The result is an inspirational combination of traditional Georgian features in the listed front part of the house with a modern light filled kitchen extension at the back involving a bespoke glass roof and window seat. The back elevation is a particularly impressive mix of traditional brick with modern glass and anthracite. The project was immense including full loft and cellar conversions, AU held our hands through complex relations with a myriad of professionals including party wall surveyors, conservation officers and building contractors. Much of the construction phase took place during the COVID pandemic which added an additional layer of complexity. AU were flexible and agile in an ever-changing situation and ensured safe working at all times. Their presence was calm, reassuring and professional. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Having used the professional services of Design Solutions 8 years ago for a commercial project, converting a 1930's art deco building into residential flats on which Simon of Design Solutions, Poynton also acted as our Project Manager, there was only one company we were then going to use for our house extension and the re-modelling of our home. Simon is professional, approachable, enthusiastic and full of great ideas and his vast number of contacts in the building industry were invaluable to us when it came to both the design and fit out of the extension. Simon recommended 3 builders to us and we chose one we had worked with before on another commercial project on which Simon had also done the design work. The builder he recommended was perfect for the job and backed up by Simon's recommendation, we had complete confidence in him, so important when it is your home and having confidence in the design and build team is absolutely key. As with every project Design Solutions have worked on for my family, we were absolutely delighted with the finished build. Our home not only functions better for us but looks so much more attractive inside and out too. I would highly recommend Design Solutions for being friendly, very approachable along with their professionalism, great advice and expertise.

We engaged Kimble Roden to undertake a remodelling of our kitchen and conservatory. We were very impressed the way Emma led us through the process in a practical and professional way from initial concept to the tender exercise itself. We had some ideas of what we wanted but Emma significantly enhanced them ensuring that we would get the 'wow' factor we were looking for but also a place we could enjoy as part of our home. She took a strong lead in resolving the inevitable issues as we went through the project and was always available to us. This biggest compliment we can pay is that we couldnt envisage a better outcome for us and as well as looking stunning it has added to our enjoyment of our home.

Fantastic company, sourced all the best products for me, at the best prices. Very clean workers, reliable and trustworthy. Would highly reccomend this company to anybody. They sent regular itemised bills, so I could keep a track of the spend, they kept to the budget and quote, apart from my added extra's. Our knock through wasn't straight forward, as were a steel framed house, but they did it with absolutely no problems. They certanely know what there doing, I had a dead line, as we were going away, then throwing a House party when we came home, and they met the deadline for me. We will definitely be using them again for our next project.

When we moved into our" tired" 1920s cottage we could see it had potential, needed updating and the current layout didn`t flow however we really didn`t know where to start. James had done an excellent job for me designing an extension on a previous property( Wychwood Cottage, Oakhill) so without hesitation we knew he was the right person to help us with this project too. He listened to what we wanted from our home and on visiting immediately saw the solutions. He split the work into 3 phases and advised us of the order to do. As we are living in the property this provided the benefit of concentrating on one area at time, thereby allowing better control of our budget and securing the finish of one phase before moving one to the next and enabling a break between phases to restore our sanity rather than having to live on a building site for months on end and the risk of going over budget and unable to complete any areas. The first 2 phases were reconfiguring the current cottage to make full use of the space available. The 3 rd phase is an optional extra : the addition of an orangery which would increase space and enhance the current cottage and wonderful views it affords. We have now completed phase 1 which has most definitely provided the Cottage with the "Wow " factor achieved by knocking the existing back room and kitchen into a light airy kitchen/ diner with a working area flexible dining area and retaining the log burner and chilling out area with sofas. Altering the position of the door to the previously messy utility room has enabled a shower room with toilet to be put in whilst till retaining laundry facility, storage and space for the dogs. A stable door through optimises light and views but provides the option that any mess can be hidden if necessary! It really is a lovely space and so flexible now - all our visitors are amazed at the difference and love the light and airy homely feel. W are about to embark on phase 2 which involves swapping a bedroom and family bathroom. The bathroom will then be above the utility room which also houses the boiler with the outcome of a larger 3rd bedroom and all the unsightly pipework at the back of the house will disappear as all water and waste will be on one side of the building. Thank you James your are a true inspiration!
