“I recently redecorated my open plan kitchen/dining room and was struggling with colour schemes so enlisted the help of Amanda for some professional advice. Amanda was a joy to work with, and although it was only a small scheme, she was committed to helping us until we found a scheme that we were completely satisfied with. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Amanda to my friends and family, and am already planning my next project so we can work together again!”

“We were adding quite a big extension to our old victorian house and as we hadn't done anything like this before needed someone to help not only with the interiors but to help us project manage the build. Rachel was invaluable throughout the whole project (which got a lot bigger than anticipated!). She listened to everything we said and then turned our house into an amazing family space but with real style. Although we knew the kind of space we wanted to create we had no idea where to begin and how to create it. Rachel came up with so many ideas all of which we loved, she added all the touches that make it homely, stylish and usable. We will be using Rachel again and wouldn't hesitate recommending her to anyone. One important element was that she didn't try to influence our ideas with her own style preferences but worked hard to ensure she understood exactly what we were looking for.”

“JLK Architectural Design was recommended by friends who spoke very highly of Julia and her team. We invited Julia to quote for us to design a side extension and obtain all the planning permissions etc. Upon meeting her, my wife and I both felt that she was the right architect for our project. Very friendly, professional and full of great ideas. She was patient with us as we deliberated over various aspects of the design and gave invaluable advice and support in arriving at our final plan. We have no hesitation in recommending Julia and feel she went above and beyond our expectations. Thanks again.”

“We appointed Caroline Bolt to provide interior design for three rooms, living room, bathroom and bedroom, as part of a project to improve a house that had seen little work for many years. From the start, Caroline "got" the style that would work for us, no small feat given that there were no clues in the property as it was at the start. She has enabled us to make much better use of space, creating the storage we need and encouraging us to think about making changes that have given us more physical space in the bedroom. Combining the old bathroom/toilet enabled us to fit in everything we wanted and still have room to move around, something I struggled to envisage at first but which has worked excellently in practice. Caroline has provided designs for key pieces of furniture to accommodate specific needs such as a collection of vinyl records and to fit the space as she planned it. This way we have achieved just the look we want without having to spend forever struggling to find just the right pieces. Caroline's connections with local suppliers and manufacturers have been very useful. Best of all, Caroline took us from a position of not even knowing where to start to actually enjoying what could have been a stressful process of turning our house into one that is a sheer pleasure to live in.”

“I contacted Chris for design advice to help me to upgrade what I considered to be an ugly wetroom. It was beige and white whereas I love colour. Chris listened, visited my home, absorbed my colourful tastes and advised accordingly. I loved what she suggested for me and I now have a very tasteful wetroom rather than the utilitarian space I had before. Chris certainly knows her stuff. Highly recommended.”

“Hilary is a delight to work with! I turned to her for interior design help during our extension project and was so pleased that I did. She has fabulous ideas, great vision plus a real eye for styling spaces. On top of this, her manner and approach with clients is wonderful - nothing is too much trouble and she will go that extra mile to ensure that you’re happy. Our home has really come alive with her help. Thanks Hilary!”

“With Meera’s invaluable guidance and expertise, we have just completed building a 2 floor extension with lots of internal changes including a new kitchen, dining, living spaces, pantry and utility and bedrooms plus bathroom. We even managed to sneak in a library area. Meera has been more than just a designer for our renovation. As well as having the creative ideas and innovation to create room designs, she really thought about the whole picture, advising us on lighting and electric plans, building tips and sometimes correcting our builders! She is professional, honest and responsive to any queries. Without her input we wouldn’t have thought of the little details which have made such a difference and we’ve bought some amazing furniture we would never have considered without her suggestions. She listened to our ideas and stuck to our budgets whilst creating wonderful and warm spaces for our home. We would highly recommend her for any project and we have had so many positive comments from friends and family on the designs she has put together.”

“I appointed Julie Richards in January 2016 to carry out a complete refurbishment of the two bedroom 'Warner' style maisonette I own and rent out in Leyton, London. It was agreed the works should be completed by April at the latest, and this was achieved. The property had fallen into considerable disrepair during a lengthy tenancy of almost a decade, only fetching a low rent that reflected this state of affairs. In January 2016 the existing tenant moved out and I took this opportunity to bring the place into line with average rental prices for the area, which valuations indicated had risen a great deal since my original investment. Within a strict budget of 25k Julie's brief was, therefore, to strip the place out entirely and build it back up to a standard that would guarantee the financial return necessary to recoup the expense, whilst providing enduring value going forward. It was a given that the kitchen and bathroom would have to be completely replaced. Julie's choices were tasteful, economical and above all - with limited space - practical. All the existing decor had become too tired to be restored effectively, so Julie also designed and oversaw a complete redecoration. Of course scratching the surface brought ever greater issues: large areas of plastering coming away, and the apparent obsolescence of the electrical circuitry and aspects of the plumbing amongst them. She coped admirably with all of these things as they arose. She also showed an appreciative touch with some of the more 'period' features such as sash windows, sliding doors and wooden floorboards stripped, sanded and varnished to remarkable effect. (We never did get round to rehabilitating the bricked in hearth due to the narrow budgetary restraints, but the will was there!) The lighting design was also improved, adding to the overall feeling that my property had been transformed beyond recognition. Julie managed to incorporate these things into her scheme of work without - as I greatly feared - allowing timescale and budget to spiral out of control. She negotiated with a wide range of tradespeople directly herself, many of whom were her existing contacts. This was all a great relief to myself, having never embarked on a project of this scale before. I hope this helps, please don't hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss anything further.”
