Diane Hill

Diane Hill is a highly skilled painter, creating unique designs for interior surfaces. She studied textile design at Manchester Metropolitan University, which led on to a six-year career as Senior Designer for one of the leading hand-made wallpaper companies. During a trip to China, Diane was trained in the specialist painting technique of watercolour onto silk, in the Chinoiserie style. Throughout her career, Diane has created unique, bespoke designs for both private clients and the worlds top interior designers. She has a wealth of expertise in mural painting, repairs and alterations, having travelled globally to paint in some of the world’s finest interiors. In early 2016, Diane embarked on her new business: decorating interiors with beautiful hand-painted designs. Drawing on inspiration from historical reference books, Far-Eastern art and ancient technique, she tastefully adapts classic designs to suit modern interiors. Currently based in Hertfordshire, Diane creates designs in her home studio, where she lives with her husband and two children. She is available for commissions worldwide, and can work to a brief.
