We were in the early stages of looking for a qualified decorator, not just a jobbing painter, when we received a positive report from a neighbour who had recently used Novitas. Within a day of contacting Novitas, Jason visited to provide a quote for painting the hallway, stairs and two landings in our Victorian house. He came across as very professional and organised, highly knowledgable and able to provide good, up to date advice on all aspects of the work required, including makes and types of paint, etc. A reasonable, comprehensive quote arrived later the same day, which we accepted, and were able to agree a start date. The work was carried out by Barry and Gary, two great members of their team, who were professional, polite and friendly at all times. Any inconvenience was minimised, they explained what they were doing and kept us up to date with progress. They were painstaking in the preparation of walls, ceiling and woodwork, and the quality of their work was top class. They arrived on time each morning, and tidied up at the end of the day. We are delighted with the end result, which has cheered up a rather tired area of the house that hadn't seen a drop of new paint in fourteen years! We have no hesitation in highly recommending Novitas, and will most certainly use them again in the future.

Jason was recommended to me by Lincrusta as it was my first time specifying their product for installation and it requires someone with specific training to do it. From the outset he was extremely responsive on email. When quoting for the job he demonstrated huge expertise and technical knowledge as well as explaining where things may not be straightforward. His quote was also very fair. He started and finished the job on time and delivered a finish that replicated the sample that we agreed. Lincrusta is hand painted so it is quite a skilled craft. He also painted all the woodwork for us and did a great job. He was very professional and polite. I am very happy with his work and would certainly use him again.

Chaplin’s gave me the contact details for Jason following an order for a London Art wallpaper feature. As it’s a mural, I wanted to ensure that the job was done correctly. Once I had answered some questions on email, Jason quoted for the job which was reasonably priced and he was fully transparent with his availability. He and his team are busy, but for good reason. Jason arrived early, brought all of his materials, wore shoe covers when inside the house and cleared up after himself. I contacted Novitas after being let down twice by a local painter and decorator who had delayed work for 3 weeks. I was looking to have the exterior masonry and x2 sash windows repaired and painted on my 2 storey Victorian house in Greenwich. The previous quote I had received was more than double the cost, scoped for x6 days and was suggested that I need scaffolding. Jason started the job 24 hours after my enquiry, didn't require any scaffolding and completed the job within 1.5 days. On my initial call with Novitas, Jason was extremely professional and refreshingly honest, challenging some of my ideas with his logic and experience. Thanks to Jason's guidance we managed to find the right paints and finishes that would give the desired appearance and still retain quality and finish. The house looks absolutely amazing. After searching for the best company for the job I had planned I did come across Novitas. I got in touch and received a prompt answer and offer to visit for more information and a quote. Jason arrived on time and was very knowledgable. I wanted my housefront painted . He did answer all my questions and did send a reasonable quote. We agreed to wait till the weather is better and he finished the job in a week. Barry his employee was amazing. On time, dedicated, very tidy worker, was dedicated and fast. Went on with the job without any qualms and prepared, sanded and painted everything beautifully . Even fulfilled a little nifty extra job we had for him . Communication was great at all times. Jason and Gary have worked to a bery high standard to create my hallway design. Ceiling, floors, walls, doors and skirting boards all painted beautifully. Finally a striking mural. The job was substantial with cabinetry, ceilings, walls, traditional feature all in varying colours. The prep work was exceptional with real time dedicated to ensuring as high quality a finish as possible. We were properly consulted on the paints types, benefits of each colour matches etc and the result was an exceptionally finished living, kitchen, dining area. Jason’s team did an excellent job, including decorating the front of our building & shopfront and the entire interior redecoration of a three bed flat. They went the extra mile to provide an excellent level of finish, organised the scaffolding and agreed anything that cropped up with us first. The guys were friendly and great to work with. Jason and his team decorated two of our bedrooms, our hallway across three floors, our front door and our new staircase (inc. staining the handrail & painting the spindles etc). Novitas redecorated our main bedroom. Our sash windows have seen better days but now look like new. They also did an amazing job hanging the wallpaper which had some very tricky areas to cover. They also spray painted our old radiators which we hadn't thought of doing and has made a huge difference. They were a delight to have in the house and even turned up during the rail and bus strikes - adding an hour to their journey each way. We're delighted with the results and are already planning on using them to decorate our sitting room.

We recently used Novitas Decorators to internally redecorate our whole house (a large 5 bedroom) -just to say a big thank you for a superb job and would highly recommend them. As the house is occupied we were concerned about the disruption from the work especially from any dust and moving the furniture around. Jason and his team planned the job well and took extreme care in looking after the furniture along with the cleaning and tidying up. Novitas recently carried out some external and internal (bathroom) decorating on our house and overall we have been extremely pleased with the outcome. Jason undertook external masonry painting for us in July 22 for the entire outside of our house. Jason and team did an excellent job in the prep, repair and painting and we are very happy with the result. Several times they went over and above for example helping to fix a gutter. Jason has done it again! He decorated a through lounge/diner for us after it had been newly plastered, and we couldn't be happier! Half papered, half painted - walls, ceiling, doors and all woodwork. Novitas recently completed the internal redecoration of our Victorian terrace, they did a wonderful job. Throughout the process, from initial survey to completion, the team were outstanding in their professionalism, knowledge, advice, endeavor, time keeping, cleanliness and finish. Our communication on the project was always super-prompt and super-helpful, whether by email/text with Jason or a quick chat with Gary and Barry over a cuppa. Their guidance on the best materials to use, the best way and order to paint the rooms in a busy household with kids was a godsend. Jason fitted me in at short notice to do a feature wall in my daughters bedroom, as a Christmas surprise for her. He did all of that last minute right on top of Christmas, which is just so unbelievably kind of him, no doubt his workload was already off the charts. The wallpaper I chose was a mural of a pink and white cloudy sky scape, it must be so difficult to make it look completely flawless, but that is exactly what Jason has achieved. The finished result is absolutely stunning. Absolutely meticulous work. Not to mention a very professional service from start to finish. Novitas have just completed a second job for us. This time, it was for interior decoration (hallway, stairwell, landings, two bedrooms and a bathroom), and we couldn't be happier with the result. Once again, the professionalism and expertise of Jason and his team could not be faulted. Jason was always available to provide advice and support, which were unfailingly practical and informed; and if - on the rare occasion that he wasn't able to pick up a call - we left a message, he would always respond within minutes (none of the interminable waits for return calls that you experience with some firms). The two decorators, Gary and Barry, were not only superbly skilled and effective in their work but a pleasure to have around. Novitas recently carried out external decoration on our house. From start to finish, led by Jason, they provided a truly excellent service, in terms of communication, professional skills and sheer commitment to the job. When we had any questions, Jason was always accessible by phone and, when he was busy, quickly returned any calls. Barry, the painter assigned to our job, could not be faulted for hard work, technical expertise and responsiveness to questions and comments. After-job care was also exemplary, with Jason conducting a thorough inspection of the work before signing it off. I can recommend Novitas without hesitation.

Novitas painted our master bedroom and nursery as well as repairing some cracked plaster throughout the house. From start to finish they did a great job with clear communication, professional conduct and most importantly did the job to a high standard. We will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

We've just had our hallway redecorated by Novitas including all of the stair woodwork, doors and architraves. The architraves weren't in the best shape to start, but Gary put in a lot of time and effort, and we are very happy with the end result. He was always very punctual, courteous and took the time to clean up at the end of each day. Communication was always good, and great attention to detail - we'd be happy to use them again.

Jason just spent the last 3 months totally redecorating our period home and we couldn't be happier with the result. Jason is a true professional, with an attention to detail that can't be questioned. He helped shape our approach to the project and made some fantastic suggestions that either a) helped us to invest in the right areas or b) remove unnecessary cost. All of the other trades that worked on the job were recommendations from Jason's network and all of them delivered cracking jobs and are great people. The outcome & finish is so far beyond what we could have expected and we are already booking in with Jason for a refresh of the external aspects of the house. There aren't enough superlatives to describe Jason and his team's work, but I think the best endorsement I can give is that I'm going to miss not having him round the house every day - never thought I would write that on a review for a decorating business! Also, one of the decorators that Jason works with, Gary, might actually be the nicest bloke on the planet. Barry is nice too but he didn't really talk to me that much.

Consummate professional. I needed an entire flat redecorated after rewiring and carpentry. Jason assessed the job accurately, stuck religiously to the schedule, showed excellent attention to detail, was very tidy, invoiced clearly and considerately, a completely pain free experience all round. Jason (Novitas) has just completed 3 weeks work in our property redecorating 4 rooms. He arrived promptly every day and worked through. He was mindful of the noise and kept it to a minimum. Perhaps more importantly Jason kept control of the dust and made it a point to clear up comprehensively each evening. I couldn’t recommend Jason highly enough. His work is extremely good: we had rewired just before he arrived and he patched everything perfectly. He stripped, sanded, papered and painted our flat and painted all the woodwork. His attention to detail is impressive, notably on the bannister and spindles. He is very reliable, tidy and trustworthy. He keeps you up to speed with progress and importantly is honest with pricing!

Painting and hanging wallpaper in and around a chimney breast will shelving already up - an awkward area. So impressed with the results. Two bedrooms with integrated wardrobes needed decorating in my new house. Usually, I decorate myself but for this project it was clear that I needed to find a professional because the walls and wardrobes needed preparing before any paint could go on them. Also, both rooms have slightly curved ceilings so required a steady hand to produce crisp lines. The quality of the finish in both rooms is fantastic and has transformed the spaces. We hired Jason to hang wallpaper and make good our ceilings after some electrical work. Jason was an absolute professional – he worked long hours to complete the work over a weekend and paid thorough attention to detail. The quality of the work was excellent. Jason painted our living room, including newly-stripped cornice and mouldings. He sourced the paint for us, colour matching to a F&B shade that we'd picked. He completed the work to the highest possible standard and kept to the timescale he'd given us. He took really good care with the cornice and ceiling roses. We've used a few painters / decorators over the years but Jason is the first one we'd recommend and ask back in an instant. We asked him to quote on painting our kitchen and he came around to have a look and then got back to us within a few hours with a quote.
