As our name suggests we specialise in the repair and restoration of traditional sash and casement windows (Victorian or Georgian). We are also proud to provide services for historic windows and heritage windows, of which we can provide examples of our craftsmanship. Many clients who live in A, B, C Listed Building or a Conservation Area, are restricted when it comes to window replacement. Planning will insist that the window styles are kept as original. However, this does not always mean replacing the existing sash windows. In the majority of cases Sash Renovate can restore your windows back to their original glory. Most old sash and case windows were originally manufactured from exceptionally durable timber so it makes sense to restore original joinery rather than replacing. As one of the South East's professional family run window refurbishment and manufacturing companies, Sash Renovate provide all types of window glazing related work.

Makers of fine, quality, period door furniture. Beautifully engineered pieces with a wonderful patina of use and age but mechanically exceptional and built to last. Every door handle that we make is a faithful copy of an original and each one is carefully polished and aged to replicate old, period door furniture. Our aim is for our door knobs to look as if they have been part of your home for decades, slightly worn, giving each piece a wonderful patina of use and age. We have developed very fine, intricate mouldings for our brass door knobs which we cast in the traditional method of using a combination of lost wax and fine sand. This enables us to produce very fine pieces with great attention to detail. The mechanics of our handles and spindles are made exactly the same way as the originals, being threaded one end and broached (square) the other, as this stops the dangerous scenario of the handle ever failing. We have our own wood factory which provides the means to work solely to our high standards with complete control to maintain consistent quality; producing small quantities, made well. Our wooden handles are produced from African Oak and Teak, which both have excellent wood turning properties and are farmed from a sustainable source. The teak is first stained and then ebonised to produce a rich, black finish. They are turned using machinery, some of which dates back to 1908. We offer bespoke manufacturing capability for clients requiring matching handles for period restorations. We are happy to supply to trade and Residential customers, Interior Design, Architectural and Commercial projects. We are proud to have provided our door furniture for a diverse range of properties from cottages to palaces.
