About Us

Pat Oliver Interior Design has been designing residential and commercial interiors in the UK since 1981. Initially, Pat brought her American influence to the interiors of show homes across the North East, but soon began to work for individual homeowners and independent retailers. Pat believes that the interior of a home or place of work has a direct impact on our wellbeing and happiness. Aesthetics and ethos of any space should be designed in harmony with the user whether they are an individual, a family or a work team. The association between the client and Pat, as designer, must be an interactive relationship based on good communication and an in-depth understanding of the client’s needs and aspirations.

The height of the bay window was raised to allow more light. The gas fire was condemned and a wall with alcoves was removed giving extra space. This enabled a book case to be installed and a log burning stove. New lighting was provided throughout and a full interior design board was produced, incorporating carpets, curtains, upholstery fabrics and paint colours. We were very satisfied with the outcome of the whole scheme.

Pat Oliver Interior Design was creative, innovative, budget-conscious, and spent loads of time with me narrowing down design choices on both the bathroom and kitchen. Particularly creative was the curved wall walk-in shower and slipper tub under the window. Pat sent me version after version of designs incorporating and unifying light, beauty, and space to provide unique, sophisticated look in my 1985 house. She worked with the contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and plumbing to being it all together on their schedule, not hers. Pat was super responsive, created a line item budget, and reminded me gently when I went off-track. Pat Oliver Interior Designs has my highest recommendation.
