About Us

Hello I’m Sarah founder of Cocoona Interior Designs a Ribble Valley based firm that helps transform homes and spaces throughout Lancashire and the NorthWest of England. At Cocoona Interior Design I take a personalised approach to projects. Through an in-depth life-style questionnaire, I will get to know your vision and style, and whatever the project help bring it to life and create a style that is uniquely yours. Initial consultations are free of charge, during which a choice of services tailored to your needs will be discussed and offered. These largely depend on the size and scope of works required with prices ranging….. From £185 for a single PDF mood board for a small to moderate sized (approx 15-20 square metres) room re-vamp, including suggestions for re-decorating, flooring, furnishings and accessories. From £300 for a slideshow PDF concept visualisation for a small to moderate sized (approx 15-20 square metres) room re-vamp. Each slide will include a detailed breakdown of each element of the room, providing you with inspiration, suggestions and ideas on how to achieve your desired ‘look’. You will also receive a list of materials and products to source and where to source them from and recommended tradesmen where applicable. Both the above services allow you to approach your decorating project at a pace that suits you and your budget. If during this process you have questions, maybe you’re just not sure about the sofa you’ve seen on-line or you’re not quite sure how high/low to hang your wall-art and you’d just like an ‘on-hand’ advisory service? Then for prices starting at £80 (subject to size and scope of works), why not add the Design Buddy Bolt-on? Throughout your re-decorating process let me be your project design friend, send me your questions and queries and I will give you my advice and suggestions. And from £120 per day - Homestyling and/or Homestaging. An on-site service that will make your home look its absolute best. Whether that be making the finishing touches to a redecorating project or preparing and styling a full house ready to be put on the market for sale. Includes room layout changes, zoning and creation of vignettes, hanging curtains and pictures, shelf-styling etc.. Fully managed project services are available with prices on application. Working with Sarah has been an amazing experience from start to finish. Our daughter's bedroom needed a grown-up re-fresh but neither of us, including our daughter, knew quite where to start. Through her consultation, Sarah helped us to identify a style that suits our daughters personality to a tee. From there she worked on producing a fabulous moodboard that literally outlined everything we needed to make it all a reality and achieve the look, everything from colour palette, lighting suggestions, bedding options, art and accessories. We had opted for just the moodboard which meant sourcing the materials and products and getting the work done was down to us, but it was such an amazing point of reference and saved hours of deliberation and decision making, it was worth every penny and we're over the moon with the finished results. Even during the decorating process Sarah was happy to answer any of our questions and give her opinion or advice. This was our first time using the services of an interior designer, but can honestly say that will definitely be doing it again and wouldn't hesitate to contact Sarah to do it.

Fantastic results! I engaged Sarah’s services some time ago for a full renovation of a tired and very outdated two bed apartment on a gated residential estate. The apartment hadn’t been touched since the late 80’s, so a considerable amount of work was needed. My work commitments meant that I needed Sarah to manage the entire renovation from start to finish, which she did with ease and efficiency, bringing with her a team of trade professionals to carry out the major works. She initially had some amazing ideas to convert the space to open-plan living but the age of the building and the budget dictated that we replace the kitchen and bathroom and refurbish throughout. Despite this design setback Sarah still completely transformed the space, bringing some incredibly fresh ideas for new kitchen and bathroom layout, making more of the spaces than I could ever have envisaged, even down to zoning certain areas with blocks of colour - something so simple and easy! The property is a buy-to-let investment and is rented out unfurnished so in terms of the brief I had no need for accessories. My brief to her was to make the space feel airy, bring it all up-to-date and use colours that would be versatile and suit the taste of most rental applicants. I was not disappointed, she fulfilled the brief and more, injecting style and the ‘wow’ factor, through expertly sourcing low-cost fixtures that look fantastic and the clever use of simple materials and lighting (check out the kitchen breakfast bar on her photo's - it's made from scaffolding planks!). Potential tenants that viewed the property were wowed by it and I didn't have a problem finding a tenant, so huge thanks Sarah! And rest assured that I will definitely be in touch with you for my next project.

MARVEL KIDS BEDROOM Sarah is fantastic! Her approach to projects is personal, taking time to listen to what we were looking to do with the room, our first room using Sarah's services being our 4 year olds bedroom who was very adamant that the room would be RED! Which worried me immensely... I needn't have worried! The outcome is fabulous, enough red with the city scape to satisfy our rather picky 4 year olds demand of RED walls and a marvel theme, but not too much for me to think wow that's too much! Sarah was brilliant at visualising the concept through a moodboard which we showed to our little man to make sure he was happy with the concept. Subsequently to assist with the project Sarah added the items which had been agreed on to a dedicated pinterest board for the room like soft furnishing, duvet covers, rugs etc.. which created a shopping list for me to work through as and when items were required. This has saved me hours of searching for items to match the concept or trying to re-find something similiar to purchase for the room, as they have all been pinned ready for me! Nothing is too much trouble for Sarah, she has been on hand to support the project and move it forward, like coming to the paint centre to ensure the correct red paint is mixed as per the colour swatch or to assist with the city scape marking out! So if you are looking for a fresh perspective for your room or living space give Sarah a call, you won't be disappointed!

Sarah is a lovely lady and is amazing at her job, she came to look at my living room to help and give me some ideas to transform the room. Sarah helped me to plan decor for two rooms in my home, one which I was struggling with due to its unusual proportions. I have quite a clear idea of what I like but sometimes lack confidence in pulling a look together. With Sarah I was able to work collaboratively to get the look I had hoped for. Initially Sarah visited and we had a chat about ideas and then she went away and came up with a detailed plan including a resource list. Sarah was available then to discuss any concerns or issues along the way as I implemented her plan. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use this service again. Not only is Sarah lovely and professional, she is supportive and generous with her time and ideas. I have learnt so much!
