Keep Interior Design

Cathy at Keep Interior Design was recommended to me by friends who had a loft conversation. My renovation included a side return extension and complete reconfiguration, turning it from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom flat. Cathy provided advice on best utilisation of the space, the kitchen, bathroom, lighting and electricity plan, furnishings and decoration for the entire apartment. I had never gone through major redesign or worked with a designer before and was unsure of the process. Cathy starts with a visit to your home and asks lots of questions about by tastes, listened to my ideas, then came back a week later with some beautiful mood boards to see if she had captured my thinking. She did a great job of ensuring the design was something I would love. The result is a beautiful place, one that I couldn't imagine getting to on my own. I really DO love it! In addition to the design, I needed help in managing the contractors and advice on their work; there were a few tense moments and Cathy was able to communicate with them and resolved the issues. It was a very stressful five-month project and I could not have got through it without her support. Cathy is such a professional, super creative and a great person to have around. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for help on a renovation.

I approached Cathy to help us with a new build lake house project. Cathy advised at every stage of the process starting with the blueprints and working with us to agree an overall design approach that seamlessly incorporated the very different tastes of myself and my partner and reflected the natural setting and our family life. She advised on the room layout, introduced us to a wealth of new ideas and designers, sourced and guided the selection of fixtures and fittings, bespoke pieces, colour schemes and furnishings. Cathy has incredible attention to detail, communicates brilliantly, has a wealth of contacts and trades at her fingertips and is a pleasure to work with. We are delighted with the outcome and would highly recommend her work.

I hired Cathy at Keep Interior Design to refresh our family home. She was totally amazing from start to finish. I knew I wanted to be adventurous with the scheme having had a rather conservative design done about ten years ago by another designer. She took us through the process step by step, listening to our likes and dislikes and also our desire to be sympathetic to the period style of the property. Each space was looked at and where needed the layout was changed, this included the addition of cupboards and shelving. I wanted to keep my existing furniture where possible which she worked around and had re-upholstered. The results were incredible and exceeded what we could have imagined. She was a delight to work with, as were the additional trades she brought in. She knew we had a deadline and worked tirelessly to bring it all together on time and on budget. I would definitely recommend Keep!

We had a limited budget and I was at a loss to know how to start designing our recently purchased two bedroom flat. Cathy was so great, I couldn't have done it without her. We discussed what a realistic budget would be and she came up with a wonderful design which flowed from one room to another. Because of her trade discount on the fabrics and wallpapers it meant that we actually saved money. It was the first time I had used an interior designer and the whole process was actually really enjoyable. Cathy has great energy and such amazing ideas, she is also lovely to have around. Five stars!
