John McHardy, his son Rob and their business have provided plumbing services at my property since 2002, conducting regular servicing and maintenance of my oil fired central heating system, replacing an old metal oil tank with a modern bunded tank, and upgrading a number of radiators. In addition they have supplied and fitted high quality sanitary ware for a cloakroom and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. At the end of July 2015 I decided to replace the ageing central heating boiler. John visited to discuss my requirements and to identify options, taking account of changes in building regulations etc. In less than 3 weeks John had supplied quotes and a new Firebird condensing boiler had been supplied and fitted. The installation team were, as always, very hard working and professional and took great care to ensure that the house was left as found once work was complete. They also worked extra hours to complete removal of the old boiler and flue, and installation and commissioning of the new boiler in a single day, although 2 days had been set aside in case required. All I had to do was keep the guys topped up with coffee through the day. I am happy to recommend R J McHardy to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional and personal service.

I recently had my bathroom tiled and towel rails fitted up in Bristol by RJ McHardy and I was extremely impressed with the service provided and the quality of workmanship. The employees were very tidy, efficient and polite and I would highly recommend the business.

We had R. J McHardy in for some plumbing work and in the process found out they could also do the tiling for us in the hall. The work has been done to a fantastic level and the craftsmanship is second to none. I would have no hesitation on recommending them to anyone. They are great to talk to and discuss your ideas. The guys we had on site worked extremely hard and were happy to help whilst here with a couple of other requests we had. we have and continue to find them great value for money and superb workmanship. With so many companies out there perhaps not doing work to the level you require it is refreshing to find one that goes that extra mile to ensure the finished job is the best it could be! We had both the Boss visit us whilst he had teams on site (yes we had more than one..How great is that!!) and also the Oldest Son who is extremely knowledgable and great to talk too. They put our mind at rest and we are so happy we chose them to work on our house. We have them back now for any and all jobs they can do. What else can I say, Fantastic!!! I recommend this company and suggest when you contact them you speak to either John or Robert McHardy who are just happy to help. Thank you to all the staff for being such great guys!........ Had problems with my heating. I called Rob that morning. He was over that afternoon. He assessed situation, ordered the parts. He was back 3 days later, although could have been the next day if I'd been around to let him in. Was very reasonably priced, and very efficient. I've since recommended RJ McHardy to a number of friends and colleagues and they've also been very satisfied.

RJ McHardy fitted us a new boiler, radiators and removed the old. The new boiler is excellent, heating is noticable within 10 mins, and quiet. We haven't had a single issue 8 months on. Their work is neat and tidy you'd hardly know its there. They hardly stopped in 3 days and When issues came up during their work they stayed later to work it. They were not just polite but great company, despite me trying to help. I give them my absolutely highest recommendation!

Issues with erratic heating and no hot water in recently purchased property. Advised that a new boiler would be required, along with a new shower appropriate to the boiler. Very reasonable price and quick service provided. Heating and hot water now working perfectly, with improved shower pressure! Would highly recommend.
