I don't normally leave reviews, but I did thought that the service I received was outstanding, so here goes. Jane took my initial enquiry and arranged for David to come to my home to quote. He was very professional and compared to the other companies representatives that quoted, he was clearly the more experienced and knew what he was talking about answering all of my questions with ease. The quote was sent to us in writing along with the terms and conditions via email. Really straight forward and easy. I had to chase most other companies for their quotes and terms. When we had a date, we booked in. Jane was very good and informed us, as had David, that we couldn't book in until we had a solid, confirmed date as if we did, and the date moved, there would be a charge. Which is good advice. We then paid over the phone. The day of the move the team of guys arrived on time, all uniformed and smart. Introduced themselves, had a look round and got set up. Floors where covered where needed etc. The team, I have to say, were amazing. The care that was taken was brilliant, and the speed they emptied my 4 bed home was again, unreal. These guys are the best moving crew I have ever had in 12 moves over 15 years. I have moved all over the UK and abroad for my work and I can tell you that you will be very hard pressed to find better. So a very big thank you to all the team at Bass Removals and I will certainly be using you again when the time comes to move back home to Portsmouth.

Awful service. After paying over £700 for a job that they didn’t complete, David Bass made several phone calls that evening and sent a text message demanding an extra £360 the next day or they would pass the debt to their collection team. I felt that he was trying to intimidate me (unsuccessfully) by offering to come to my house to collect payment and making such hasty threats about collections. I found the removals team to be slow, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful from start to finish. Avoid!

Not recommended. Multiplied the stress of moving instead of relieving it. Grumpy workers interested only in getting job done as quickly as possible to get off home. No protective cloths used on floors or bannisters. Walls scraped; furniture scratched; plastic storage boxes cracked and split; sewing machine attachments lost. No major damage and so all dismissed as under the insurance excess. Boxes put in wrong rooms at destination. Storage costs increased by 15% after five months. Onward delivery increased by 30% over original estimate after eight months. Paid over £10k in all for their services and begrudge it.
