“For years, I have been listening to the clickety clack of my vertical blinds. They were ugly and covered our beautiful Anderson large, sliding door. So I contacted Kimberly Landino of Smith & Noble. Now I have beautiful, single-pleated drapes that compliment our sliding glass door that opens out to our lovely yard. Kimberley helped so much in picking out the right type of window covering for my style and this particular window. Her ideas were spot on. She is a pleasure to work with and her professionalism much appreciated. She patiently showed me many swatches of material and helped me pick the perfect material, backing, and hardware. Her recommendation to begin the drapes further up the wall made a big difference in that the room now looks larger. She saw the process through the installation. Now even my husband wants the bedroom sliding door done, so we'll be using Kimberly again soon!”

“When I called Rick from West Window Fashions and left a message he immediately returned my call. My budget was a little tight so after discussing the options for my home he made me aware of the different manufactures he offered. I wasn't aware that there are other manufactures that make similar products to Hunter Douglas that are more affordable. He also help me understand how to maximize my dollar. In my case I wanted the Hunter Douglas Shutter so he helped me find a way to make them work. We went with the Hunter Douglas Shutters for the front of the house and Master Bedroom and off brand honey combs for my sons room who works nights. For the rest of the house that doesn't get much use we went with a off brand faux wood to save money. Thanks for the help Rick I really appreciate it!”

“I was so pleased with the customer care I received from L décor Interiors when purchasing carpet and a window covering for our new addition. There was such a wide range of styles and fabric choices for the window covering that I expected to be overwhelmed, but L décor Interiors listened to my likes, paid attention to my style and helped me narrow the choice down to the perfect solution for our new room. “A few years ago I called Keely at Right Home Interiors to help me create window coverings for my home. I could not be more pleased. We worked well together as a team. “We have hunter Douglas blinds at home. 2 of them weren't working properly. We went to the blind spot in Rocklin and told us to to go to the repair center shop in downtown Roseville. The people was great, very kind and professional. Our blinds were fixed within 2 weeks an we weren't to pick them up our repair cost was 0 how amazing is that!!”

Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
