W & S Christie Roofing

We had a complete and large replacement of the roof of the tenement block. It was a tough job, as the roof was failing in many places. It required all residents to buy in to the project and planning permission, as it was a listed building. However, W&S Christie were so good at communicating that it really smothered the process over, with them even occasionally attending residents meetings if required to explain technicalities. The standard of the work was inspected by our own independent surveyor and photos were taken throughout. The resulting job was excellent. The quality of the work was top standard and the workmen on the job were professional and friendly. They cleared up brilliantly when the job was finished. A special mention to the lead worker, who is clearly an expert in his job. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

I asked W&S Christie to quote for a repair to a shared sand stone chimney stack, and a resolution to a leaky roof in an extension. While it wasn’t the cheapest quote for the chimney repair, it felt the most honest assessment of the repair needed and my neighbour and I chose to go with W&S Christie for the chimney repair and roofing solution. The whole process was smooth and everyone we spoke to very helpful. There was never any mess on site, and a minor piece of damage to a gutter was advised to us immediately and repaired promptly. The work looks perfect; the chimney sweep has commented on the quality of the work to the chimney and the room which had the leaky roof is now so warm following the reroof it’s become much more usable.

Very pleased with the overall job by Christie. All concerned very professional including office staff, roofers and scaffolders. Some additional work was identified when work on roof started but photographs were provided to show what needed to be done. I would certainly recommend this company.

I selected W&S Christie Roofing randomly from an internet search and I couldn't be more pleased. They came to quote when they said they would, completed the job when they said they would and the quality was excellent. I had all the cast iron gutters on my house replaced. Would recommend.
