“We used Gavin Jefcoate to design our new kitchen extension and complete remodel of the downstairs of our home. It's nearly 3 years since work started and we are still as pleased with the results as we were when it was first completed. The initial meetings quickly demonstrated that Gavin understood our brief of what we wanted and why we needed it. The resulting plan was a really exciting change for the house with bold creative elements which also integrated the practical solutions that at the time we were desperate for. Throughout the build Jefcoate Anderson provided project management which took away most of the stresses that go hand in hand with altering any home to this extent. We are still hugely pleased with the results and would strongly recommend using this firm if you are considering a build project.”

“We selected Martin and Louise from Urban Creatures to design and manage the build of our house because we liked their portfolio and found that they understood our brief. As a result, the design process of the house did not take long and they provided many good ideas. Obtaining planning permission for our house was quite problematic, but Urban Creatures were very professional in dealing with the planning department. Despite them working to our budget, the quotes from the builders were at least 1/3 above our budget, which led to some changes and omissions. But at least that saved us from a lot of nasty surprises once the building work started. Urban Creatures supervised the whole building process and we had fortnightly meetings with both Urban Creatures and the builder to discuss progress and issues. Again, this was done in a very professional manner. Overall, we are very happy with the service provided by Urban Creatures. We would recommend them to others and would not hesitate to use them again.”

“We were fortunate to know the owner and cannot recommend their services enough. DDS created the best use of our property and enabled us to get the most out of the floor space. In addition details & advice on areas such as lighting & layout were excellent and helped us visualise the property before work started. This in turn saved money & time which is never a bad thing. “Sandy from Block 9 designed for us a large and very quirky 'butterfly roof' extension which is a delight to use as a day to day family eating and living space. The design is beautiful and was delivered despite the troublesome builder that we'd chosen! (Sorry, Sandy) Every aspect of the design and planning process was executed in a short time-frame with even last minute changes approved quickly. The overall result has been to add a bedroom, an extra bathroom and a massive living space to our modest terraced house. I'd recommend Block 9 for even the trickiest of projects.”

“We extended, renovated and altered the ground floor of our rural cottage. Our Architect helped us visualise ideas and consider various alternatives, something we found essential at the pre-contract stage. His patience and attention to our needs at that stage helped us produce the result we wanted in the end. He made suggestions re layout and materials that we might not have otherwise considered. He provided the necessary drawings and plans and liaised with planners, builders and other consultants when required. Once the build got underway, his involvement, as agreed, lessened but he was still available to us, to provide re-assurance, another opinion and technical experience. Our builders were also able to contact him for clarification and advice throughout the project.”
