They were really helpful and gave great advice to make sure I had the right flooring for a kitchen with it being a high traffic area. I did get a slightly cheaper quote but I wasn't as confident they were up to the job. Richard and Jamie were both great, really friendly and knowledgable. The flooring was delivered as promised. Great service would highly recommend.”

“my inspiration was to create a sheltered area is part of the garden. i wanted a minimal construction i had quote form other who were more expensive. we together cleverly future proofed the veranda by adding steels so it can be glazed at a later date. the instal install went well. the fitters were friendly & tidy and completed the veranda on time. they kept me informed throughout the process. i ham happy with results. not cheap but value for money.”

“We renovated an old smallholding cottage in Cornwall last year. The property is 1800's granite construction, and has small north facing windows to the front. At the rear of the property we replaced an old flat roof timber sunroom, and needed to find a solution to replacing it while maximising the light into the interior of the house. The space between the top of the ground floor windows and the 1st floor windowsills was very limited, so it was a challenge to find a solution that worked well. We opted for a orangery style roof lantern. The David Salisbury designed everything for us, as the engineering was quite tricky due to the construction of the original building and the limited space available. The project went without a hitch, everything was designed and delivered according to schedule, and fitted very professionally. Everyone who visits the house comments on the kitchen roof lantern, and we get lots of appreaciation for the wooden construction, it really complements the house.”

“We wanted to build an Orangery onto our Grade 2 listed building, our initial thoughts were to use painted hard work, However after contacting several companies, we found that Richmond Oak came out at a very competitive price to a well known competitor in hard wood. Oak would compliment the lovely Hamstone our home is built with so this sparked our interest. Colin the representative from Richmond Oak was very knowledgeable and of his product and how the project should be designed and built, there was no hard sell, he took time to listen to what we wanted and worked with us . He also was sympathetic to the conservation officers criteria the resulting build was all that we dreamed of. As things got going we liaised mainly with Paul, the head man at Richmond Oak, its fair to say he was available at almost any hour, nice to know whatever the worry he would be there to try and solve our hitches and allay our worries no matter how small or silly, this took a lot of stress out of what could have been a very worrying time. From the deliverery of the Oak to the final fitting of the lantern roof Richmond Oaks attention to detail was phenomenal.Dave there workman worked the most amazing hours and was considerate and helpful to the other builders on site. We had seventeen windows, two patio doors, two doors and an Orangery from this company, Paul took time to make sure all the latches , handles, hinges etc sat well with the rest of our home, not selling us what he wanted to make the most profit on or had left over, but took great care and attention sourcing what the customer wanted. Its true to say we invested a huge amount in Richmond Oak but the product speaks for itself, should we ever need to do such a project again, this company would be our first port of call, we would expect a discount for being a returning customer !”

“Vale Garden Houses understood our aims, redesigned our project (beyond our dreams), provided detailed sketches and subsequently building plans, obtained planning permission for our listed (Grade 2) house (which we thought might be difficult), and oversaw the project to our total satisfaction.. They assembled our orangery in their factory before shipping to our site, and on arrival, it was exact. Their workforce were exemplary and their painters finished the job to perfection. We don't expect to have to build another Garden Room in our lifetimes, But if we do it will be by Vale.”

“Working with Hallmark Glazed Extensions for the side extension and conservatory with windows and doors being replaced. Paul listened to what we were after and could see our vision from the outset and continued to work with us, instead of telling us it couldn’t happen or injecting some grand idea. He would offer up suggestions that would make things better, like colours and style for the windows or how to make the side extension blend in with the original house. He was also very knowledgeable and if we had any questions throughout the process he was on the other end of the phone or would pop round to advise. This made planning process smooth and quick. They carried out the work on the windows and front door, the property instantly looked fantastic. We have had a few little snagging issues with handles sticking, a windowsill that was warping and the door dropping/settling which caused it to be stiff which they came round and fixed it very quickly. The side extension was carried out by a builder that was suggest by Hallmark, who were very professional. We are very pleased with our extension and windows and would happily use Hallmark Glazed Extensions again and we will when it comes to finally getting our conservatory re-done. We highly recommend Hallmark as not only are they professional and time-efficient, but they’re nice and genuine people who are always there to help with anything the crops up.”
