I have used Chris Chapman several times. He is the only builder I would use! The last project was a complete overhaul of the downstairs of my house including a new hand cast concrete kitchen, re wiring, extensive building works, all the trades were needed and used. Chris has an excellent team and is always on time and budget. I can't say that for many builders!! And the quality and precision of the work is in the highest order.

We approached Eternal Kitchens with a view to wanting a new kitchen moved downstairs from its prior position. They arranged everything - electrics/plastering/moving of radiators and designed, built and installed a new kitchen. Not to mention removing the old kitchen and dealing with the residual mess! All of which was done on time and on budget. Very impressed with the high quality of their work. We love the kitchen - it is glorious.

I have worked with Idesign on three separate occasions. I have have an ensuite, bathroom and kitchen refurbished by them. I have found them to be very knowledgable about the products available and their recommendations were sound. The team are courteous and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. The results are fantastic, I have fallen in love with my house again!
Sustainable Kitchens

We were really impressed by Sustainable Kitchens from the start; our demands were quite particular to start with and got even more picky as time went on, and yet their answer was almost always an unfaltering "Yes!". Other high-end companies we approached quoted a higher price for something that was not bespoke and was therefore much clunkier in design. Sustainable Kitchens took care of everything, understood our every need and had a great perfectionist's eye for detail, for example in the scribing around the stones in our walls. It took under three weeks to go from our old kitchen to a fully functioning new one. Everything about the kitchen feels and looks beautiful and I am finding myself recommending them to anyone who will listen.

I have an 18th century home which I love and I'm always thinking about modern furniture for it, my kitchen/diner has a breakfast bar and I commissioned Andy (King and Webbon) to make me two wooden stools. I couldn't be more pleased with them, they are light but strong, superb detailing, they suit my kitchen perfectly. They're made from American ash with red rock maple inserts, everyone who sees them loves them! I wanted to add a picture to this review but no need as they are on the company's website. I'll definitely use King and Webbon again.

Kitchen design and fitting. Re modeled existing 80s' kitchen to accommodate latest contemporary design features. By totally removing and replacing everything, much to my husbands annoyance, I now have a kitchen I can use and show off to friends and neighbors. From design to build and installation they kept me informed and resolved issues from external supplier, with a minimum of fuss. All for a very reasonable price when compared to similar companies and major suppliers.
Making Wood Work

Julian is a dedicated and sincere craftsman of wood and, dare I say it, a perfectionist too. I came to know Julian and his family when my wife and I moved to Somerset in 2006 and wanted to restore and develop the interior of our part of a traditional Somerset double-gabled house dating from 1802. Julian revealed to us beams of ancient elm that had been buried under plaster by subsequent unappreciative generations and then created anew items made from fallen elm to echo the traditional wood used in this area. Items include, for our bathroom, an eliptical elm surface on which a sink sits, for my study a curved desk of elm (which is a joy to sit at). Also for my study, floor to ceiling shelves, with small LED lights that emerge from the wood as if modern candles. He created a special in-built lectern to display some artworks in book-form with two pages to view. Downstairs he created our kitchen, matching stone surfaces to specially chosen wood and restoring an enormous welsh dresser, making drawers accessible with modern movement while retaining the age old beauty of the original piece. At our office in Hampton Court, in homage to the famous Japanese American wood craftsman, George Nakashima 1905-1990, he created our boardroom table. This was from a fallen elm opened longitudinally, revealing the imperfections of time, and allowing the natural curve of the outer shape of the original tree to be part of the work, running a millimeter layer of maple down the middle of the table. Here he also created unique desks of oak and elm to echo, in a totally modern way via the choice of wood, our building which dates from the early 17th century. Here he also constructed for our bespoke needs two long rows of lectern style shelves needed for our contract folders - functional and yet in keeping with our building. His works never lose sight of functionality but are works of art in themselves to be appreciated. We know at our office from the reaction of our many customers who visit us from all over the world how people react to Julian's work and it is always with awe and interest. The works we have done with Julian started in 2006 and have continued to the present.
