“These guys are awesome!!! Not only are they super professional, they are honest, kind, and patient. I got quotes from 5 other companies and at the end decided to go with Solar Price Discovery. They gave me the best vibe and we're the most detail oriented in explaining to me my costs and returns and the entire process. Living in socal, my electrical bills were through the roof (no pun intended) but now with solar I am paying pennies every month. They showed me why purchasing solar is a much better idea than leasing it (as such with most companies) and were there to help me through the financing process and taxes write offs. I had no idea that when you lease the solar panels there is no write offs! All in all, I couldn't recommend these guys enough. It is one of my rarest positive experiences with a service provider, let alone a contractor. Thank you thank you thank you!”
NERD Power
Solar Panel Installers in Moorpark, CA
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars20 September 2019
“I had the smoothest time working with N.E.R.D. Power! My brother also went with them. We both did extensive research on solar companies and couldn't be happier we went with N.E.R.D.! Brendan G was fantastic throughout the process, talking my wife and I though everything from the tech to the financials in a super clear manner, because we're not scientists nor accountants. I also like how knowledgeable Brendan and team were about the region and came up with a great layout for us. The cost savings we're getting versus the traditional power service is noticeable and it always helps to save a few bucks when possible, and most importantly to us, we're helping the environment. More than ever, it's a precious resource and we all need to help. Saving money is icing on the cake! Highly recommend!”
LA Solar Group

“I was tired of getting $200 electric bills in the summer in Los Angeles due to my air conditioning. So, I decided to go solar. I checked out a few companies but they either had mixed reviews or kept calling with sales pressure. I found LA Solar on the Internet. It had many good reviews over a long period of time. This sounded legitimate. They came out and gave me an estimate of about $18,000. I decided to go forward. It was supposed to be finished in 1.5 months but it too closer to 3 months. The price went up a few thousand dollars because I have a metal roof and and part of the roof had to be re-roofed to accommodate the solar panels. But LA Solar cut the revised estimate by $500 by cutting their profit. So, I paid more than the original estimate but they reduced their profit. This was OK since we couldn't put solar panels on a metal roof. The work was finally finished in December 2015. It took so long due to many city inspections. But at least on one occasion, the company didn't show up when the inspector came. This caused a delay. It was supposed to go live around Christmas time but it didn't work. The problem was eventually found to be a defective part. After that was replaced a few days later, the system went live and everything has worked since then. I use an average of 23 kWH per day in my house (I have electric and plug-in hybrid cars). On a sunny day in the spring, I generate 33 kWH from the solar panels. My last few electric bills have been $10 per month (transmission charges). Plus, I will get credit for the excess power that I generate. I am in the black by a cumulative 600 kWH over the last few months! I can't wait to see how much I generate this summer. I feel like the electric company. I am grandfathered in for net metering for the next 20 years. I think you have to contract for solar panels no later than Dec. 2017 to be grandfathered for 20 years in California. I calculated the internal rate of return on my solar panel investment using my cost of about $22,000 and estimated savings for the next 20 years. It is 13% per year! I can't get that in the stock market. Plus, I will always use electricity, so it is a safe investment, assuming my panels work efficiently for the next 20 years. I claimed a 30% federal tax credit on my income tax. Too bad Southern California Edison ran out of rebate money. I highly recommend LA Solar. Except for a few minor glitches, they did a good job, never gave me sales pressure, and were very nice to me on the phone.”

“I've been interested in installing solar panels ever since my aunt had it done on her house. She had them installed by WV. My house is much smaller than hers, but WV Solar were more than happy to accommodate that. All in all, the project took a few weeks. Zero complaints, tbh. Very true to their words and they did an excellent job.”

“Excellent and Easy Process. From the start to the finish product, the process was super easy. We are so happy we decided to go solar with Pacific Sky! We interviewed other companies, but they were the most upfront and most reasonably priced. They were responsive when we had questions and when everything was installed, they sent out Robert to explain and make sure all our questions were answered.”
