Made and fixed an oak handrail up the staircase and round the top corner. We are very pleased with this as it matches the opposite banister perfectly. It was installed quickly and everything left clean and tidy.

Nick really is a master carpenter in the true sense of the word. He is extremely personable and his work is outstanding. Hambledon Staircases provided us with an under stairs storage solution that was suitable, flexible, attractive and affordable. Nick and Imogen were professional, patient, attentive and, above all, supportive to our needs and requirements. Imogen was the initial contact and talked us through our options and gave us ideas and solutions. She followed the visit up with a full quote and, once accepted, the installation was carried out on time and on budget. Nick was on site for two days and was able to make tweaks and small changes to the design with good grace! He took great pride in his work and is obviously a craftsman more used to working on larger projects than ours, but made us feel that our storage was just as important to him. I would not hesitate in recommending Hambledon Staircases.

From the first meeting, for a quote to the finished beautiful staircase, Nick was Professional, polite and efficient. Our old boring staircase was exactly that old and boring, but now it is transformed into beautiful oak and glass. would highly recommend them.

Nick recently renovated the staircase in our old cottage. He replaced the existing treads and risers and added new strings. We now have oak treads and painted risers and strings; the staircase looks and feels fabulous. He also tidied up bits and pieces of the staircase so the whole thing marries together really well. Nick was a pleasure to have working in our house, he did a great, professional job, clearly knows exactly what he is doing, works hard throughout the day and has a good sense of humour. He and Imogen make a good team. It is rare we recommend people, just in case, but we would unhesitatingly recommend Nick.
