North Design Works will work with you to create a bespoke design, then project manage and supply a staircase to lift an ordinary space into something very special. Attention to detail is paramount - clients are welcomed to provide as much or little input as they wish (even sitting in during design work) thus steering 3-d designs to exact tastes. Augmented Reality software is used to preview the design in the building before manufacture commences. North Design Works is an engineering design consultancy established in 2010 & is run by Jonathan Patty (based in Crawfordsburn, N.Ireland). Somewhat uniquely placed, Jonathan has a wide ranging background in Industrial Design some of which is showcased on our website - it is our company's diverse engineering project background which offers more possibilities for bespoke contemporary staircases than would generally be offered with dedicated manufacturers. Jonathan's professional career to date has taken in such diversity as design for; marine safety, automotive, film, academic research, precision engineering, street furniture, tool-making & product design. This experience and the fact that we aren't wedded to particular materials or processes ensures that unbiased bespoke designs are presented, tailored to the client's wishes. Prior to qualifying in 2001, Jonathan was involved in M&E Consultancy for a large Belfast Consultancy and gleaned a strong professional insight into commercial & residential architectural projects. With earlier experience primarily hands-on [fabrication / turning work and being the son of a joiner / building contractor involved practically from the age of 12] Jonathan has a unique ability to deal with professionals & trades in the construction industry.
