“It has been great working with Architecture Unknown, the final outcome is a fantastic-looking building that will serve as a brillant Scouts HQ and community resource. AU’s Wikihouse design enabled us to keep costs down by using volunteers for some of the assembly work as well as allowing community involvement in the construction.”

“I’ve worked with this company a few times now and have been thrilled with all aspects of our dealings. We have had both basement conversion plans done (with building regs all sorted for us etc) and have had a ground floor extension planned, built and supported by the team. We’ve been so happy with the results of our extension and the space really has maximised our space and transformed our home. We found Spencer brilliant to work with. He’s always gotten to know exactly what we are looking to achieve and has listened to my crazy ideas, but then always come up with a way to achieve them (or he’s often come up with far better alternatives!) We’ve also had support from the company in the form of party wall representation when there was building work next to our house and this was a great comfort to know there was someone who took time to get to know our house so well and was there to ensure we remained protected throughout the experience. I really would highly recommend to anyone.”

“We employed GRT Architecture on the recommendation of some friends. Joe did an excellent job providing a plan with a very workable solution to a complex space issue in an old stone cottage. We ended up with exactly what we wanted both aesthetically and practically providing us with more usable space than we thought possible. Joe was extremely helpful, sympathic to our wishes and the character of the building and the job was done in a timely manner.”

“We initially engaged ParkDesigned (Edward) as a consultant to explore options with our property. Their enthusiasm and design flair turned a dubious ill thought out previous extension into a light filled, modern and very practical place to live. They were able to manage the whole design and planning process which certainly kept stress low. Park also provided us with recommendations re builders which we followed and they also provided management in this aspect as well and although one or two snags occurred during the 9 month project they were dealt with in a professional manner and too our satisfaction I would strongly recommend them - they are currently working on a new project for me and that says it all !”

“I was directed to Mark by Amvic Build because I wanted to build using insulated concrete formwork. He understood exactly what I was looking for and I now have a property that has exceeded all my expectations. The planning application procedure went very smoothly because of the detail contained in the application pack. The working plans he provided were detailed and allowed me to project manage most of the work myself. The house follows the Design for Life ethos and is practical as well as stylish and contemporary. He was also flexible with his design and allowed me to 'tweak' without getting cross! Now that the house is nearly finished I am seeing smaller details and views, not obvious on the plans, that give a new dimension to the rooms. I can't wait to finish and would not hesitate to recommend Architecture-m to anyone with a project, especially if you are hoping to project manage yourself.”

“Truly excellent communication. Hired to draw up plans for a disused chapel and cottage conversion. This is the second architect we have used and I would say by far the best, it feels like we were on the same page for our current project. He will also take the time to actually listen and clarify your ideas before incorporating them into a workable design. Has options for screen share meetings and Virtual 3D models and other information so you can really feel immersed in the design. A magnificent workaround solution in the current corona climate. “Steve and Dom Shiels proved to be an excellent choice. We found them on the internet. Our first meeting showed that they listened to what we wanted then added all sorts of interesting ideas and details for us to think about. They then designed a ground floor extension that had a footprint half the size of our original house. We disscused various options and then settled on a design. They dealt with planning permission with no problems. We were very fortunate that that they tendered to build it too. This was a complete joy. They were at our house everyday for several months and we never felt irritated. The precision and care they took at each stage was incredible. They always left the site clean and tidy. The final building is beautiful, with lots of details that make us think wow. We have lived in this hous for 38 years and have always loved it. We love it even more now. Thank you Steve and Dom.”
