“As an overseas client looking to renovate our period property in Bath from a distance, PiD were invaluable in helping us achieve the home we have always dreamt of. Barbara acted as our eyes and ears on the ground, bringing a ready made team of skilled and reliable tradespeople to the table saving us the headache of trying to source them ourselves. The work carried out included replacing the roof, installing new wiring, upgrading the plumbing, designing and fitting a new master bathroom and kitchen, and converting the cellars into liveable space, along with complete redecoration - everything from paint colours to carpets and curtains. PiD also carried out a refurbishment of our two bedroom cottage, adjacent to the house - which again included a new bathroom and kitchen and complete redecoration. We are absolutely delighted with the end results, which is due in no small part to Barbara's ability to meet and indeed exceed the expectations of a sometimes highly demanding client!”

“Having been used to furnishing period properties, I suspected I would be in trouble when I purchased a large, square-roomed flat with no intrinsic features to guide me. Fortunately I found Lisa who, over a period of several months, has delivered a home that is both stylish and comfortable. She is very professional and needed to be extremely patient, since I knew what I didn’t want rather than what I did. After an initial meeting on site she produced mood-boards that were subsequently added to and subtracted from. Having sourced pieces that she felt would work Lisa accompanied me on two days of pre-arranged meetings with suppliers, her presence being invaluable in keeping me focused. She ordered items once decided upon and arranged for their delivery, which sometimes required time-consuming input on her part since I am absent from the UK for periods of time. Lisa has great ideas, is a delight to work with and really cares about what she does. In short, I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone seeking a thoughtful, talented and pro-active interior designer.”

“When we moved into our new home we had a base of grey walls and carpets and really wanted some artwork and statement furniture to make the living spaces really pop. Alex helped us pick an accent colour of teal and as well as recommending new items she also advised on up scaling our original furniture with chalk paints and fabrics. Her vision was and is absolutely, undeniably brilliant. Thank you Alex”

“Many thanks to Annie , whose knowledge and vision helped us enormously with the design for our extension. She understood exactly what we were trying to achieve. We found it very difficult to visualise the final layout, but Annie’s ideas were excellent, and her skill in a visualisation so we could actually ‘see’ the final outcome, provided us with exactly what we needed. It gave us a focus and an idea of where we were going. Planning an extension and modifying an existing layout is not for everyone; it is very easy to get it wrong, and end up having to modify a poor start! I would recommend Annie without hesitation to anyone thinking about any sort of interior design or architectural or structural changes to their house. Thank you so much Annie!”

“Georgie helped us design a beautifully smart shower room out of what was our airing cupboard. She was easy to work with and ‘got’ my ideas, presenting design suggestions and fixtures that perfectly suited the space. No problem was insurmountable and we are delighted with the end result. “My brief to Jenny was “I’m not very good at design but I think dark blue walls might be nice” and she just flew with it. She understood immediately how we live in the room and made it comfortable and gorgeous with real attention to detail - working closely with everyone to ensure what was delivered was top quality, being patient with me as I dithered and then coming up with the perfect choice of fabrics and trims. She made modern fabrics look completely at home in an 1850’s sitting room, gave me the confidence to trust my choices and managed the budget very effectively. I loved working with her, can’t recommend her highly enough.”

“I didn’t really know what changes I wanted in my home, when I first met Melissa, but she came up with lots of wonderful ideas and when we decided on a scheme was very good at picking up my taste and preferences. The whole process was efficient, friendly and timed carefully to fit in with my availability. I am delighted with my room and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to make a change in their home.”

“We asked Laura Butler Madden to help us find the best possible way to utilise the space in our large living room. Our house is a Victorian Terrace but a lot of the character that we love about these period houses had been ripped out. However Laura designed us the perfect living room that was classic yet with a modern twist. Her style is truly beautiful and we always get compliments on our furnishings. Whatever your taste Laura works hard to make sure you get exactly what you'll love. We will certainly want to use her again in the future.”

“Jane recently helped us during our renovation to make the most of our open plan kitchen-diner / living space. I was really struggling with an area that I felt was slightly too small to fit in everything (kitchen, dinner table and sofa) but was too big not to have the Sofa. The area also had a few funny angles due to it being an old farmhouse with new extension on the side. Jane was such a help and ended up giving us 8 separate options, all of which would have worked for us and met our brief. Her ability to visual a space and provide layout options that really work from a practical point of view but which are also aesthetically beautiful is second to none and she is also a joy to work with, a serene oasis in the chaos of a building site. Thanks Jane!”
