“Teresa at TME completed an excellent project for the interior space of my new home, a barn conversion. She was highly professional and kept in touch throughout the process. She took note of all my needs and requirements while keeping the door open for fresh ideas. As a colourblind person I needed to get the colour tones and matched furniture right and Teresa was an immense help with this, suggesting paint and fabric options. I was particularly impressed with the option of buying some nice pieces that were pre-loved classics. Everything came within budget and I was exceptionally pleased with the final presentation, which was beautifully put together. Teresa understood and completed the brief perfectly. Overall I would highly recommend!”

“We ordered our beautiful kitchen through Obsidian after gathering quotes from five suppliers. Obsidian were very competitive in price and were one of the only suppliers that would come to the house (without charging) before designing the kitchen. In my opinion, this was what swung it for us, as Karima's design was by far the best. Understandable really, as she had taken the time to see the space as well as see what the views were like etc. She did not bombard us with requests for measurements of walls like some of the other companies who were trying to design it without bothering to come out. There was very little we changed as we loved her simplistic design which made the best of the views and space. Karima was pivotal in the whole project, always checking minor details and often coming out to the house to see what the progress was. Her attention to detail was exemplary. We felt very well supported through the process, she was always on hand for advice and suggestions and was very good at directing the tradespeople when on site. Would highly recommend.”

“I would have never thought of blush, grey and sage in a bathroom but that's exactly what we're doing now thanks to Lucy's inspiring vision! Nor did I realise that the simple act of moving my messy bookshelf so it wasn't the first thing you see as you enter our small flat would make such a difference. Now our favourite painting hangs there and "makes" the room and we didn't even have to buy anything new! Lucy sees beauty in the everyday - she can make a special corner out of the most mundane, unused space and often relishes imperfections (worn wood floors, old tiles etc) which I love. She is such a great communicator that I was able to make many changes with her guidance over "whatsapp" (we live in different countries). I even sent her photos of tile choices which she responded to immediately. I love the fact that she looked at the artwork and even fabrics that we have and worked around them. She also looks at what's outside the windows and incorporates it into the interiors she designs. I love our home but it needed refreshing and I'm grateful that Lucy made me see it anew. She is a breath of fresh air!”

“Federica at DHV Architects was recommended to me by 2 different work colleagues, and she didn't disappoint! We wanted a new extension and remodelling of the back of our Victorian semi-detached house and wanted to create space for a new kitchen, a dining area, a snug, an office area and a separate utility room. Federica came up with several different options and we went with our favourite one, which accommodated all of our wishes. She was able to provide contact details for items that the builder would not be supplying e.g. for our new kitchen, our bi-fold doors, lighting and new radiators and also for an excellent decorator. She submitted the plans for us to the planning department and then provided the detailed plans for Building Regs. Our builder has worked with Federica before and is impressed with the detail and clarity of her plans. We asked Federica to come back a couple of times during the build and each time she was able to provide helpful input e.g. bringing out the stud wall in the study so that the shelving we had in mind could be recessed. Our builder recommended a new ceiling in the snug and was going to over-board it, which would have meant losing the existing Victorian cornice. Federica came up with the idea of retaining the cornice and creating a shadow gap between it and the new ceiling, which looks great. We are delighted with our lovely new space and would highly recommend DHV Architects (as indeed we already have). Thank you very much.”
