“I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

“Elen designed a plan for a small plot that was effective at utilizing the existing plants, giving a simple and elegant finish to a previously haphazard garden. in addition, the planting plan she provided solved the problem of a very difficult water logged clay soil. She is full of knowledge and methodical in her approach.”

Fast forward to the end of 2023 the garden looks incredibly beautiful which includes a diverse assortment of flowers, plants, and some trees. “I asked Briony from Bee's Gardens to help me create a town garden from scratch. I had a good idea of the kind of design I wanted but needed someone to create a working technical landscape plan for the builders. With her designers eye Briony took my ideas and sympathetically altered them to come up with a brief which suited and enhanced the space much more than the original sketch. I found it very difficult to envisage a garden in a space where nothing existed and the 3D plans were a huge help in making everything come alive. I didn't need a planting plan but Briony's beautiful mood boards were an inspiration which fed into the final plant and tree choices. We have been delighted with the garden as it has settled in this summer and the design has been much admired. I never thought the project would turn out so well.”
