In refurbishing our flat in the Barbican, it was a joy to discover that GEC Anderson, the supplier of the original 1970s Barbican stainless steel worktops, many of which are still beautiful and prized, was able to return to help us with the job. The benefits and negative aspects of stainless steel were all explained, and we were shown the best way to look after it. Of course, the choice was an expensive one, but, six months in, we still hope that the gain outweighs the pain. Martin, his family and colleagues are knowledgeable, professional and the business in its entirety is one with which we were delighted to have dealings. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend GEC Anderson.

GEC Anderson made the most lovely simple long stretch of worktop, L-shaped, with 2 integral sinks and drainer for our flat in Deptford. It is a thing of immense practicality and beauty! The company was brilliant to work with - friendly, responsive, attentive and met a very difficult deadline. They even came on site to rectify a small dent caused in transit. I could not recommend them more highly.

GEC Anderson are quite simply the best stainless steel manufacturer on the market. I have given them some very complex projects to work on over the 10 years, and they get it spot on everytime. Delivery times are accurate too - never late. The quality of the workmanship is spot on, and I know with that high level of service and quality my clients will be delighted. I wouldnt go anywhere else - if you do, saving a few quid for your client could end up costing you your reputation!

GEC were great - they did a really top quality install - beautiful finish. They thought a lot about all the little details of the positioning of the hob in the steel and this was all agreed beforehand.

I first used GEC Anderson twenty years ago when they fitted out a kitchen for me in London with completely one off taylor made worktops and sinks in some very unusual shapes. It was a truly first class job. I now live in Belgium but their prices, even with delivery to Brussels, were competitive with those obtained locally. They produced two made to measure tops for my kitchen here. On delivery to Brussels a clumsy fork lift driver drove one of the forks of his truck into the sink damaging it. What could have been a disaster was handled by them immediately. Anderson’s sent someone by Eurostar to Brussels who beat out the dent by hand in place! That is quite exceptionally impressive service by any standards! I would unhesitatingly recommend them for first class quality and service at very competitive prices. I am delighted with my new work tops.

We required a custom size stainless steel sink and draining board for a domestic utility room, with very specific requirements for the position of the bowl, tap, etc. GEC Anderson were very helpful and patient at the specification and quotation stage, readily providing prices for various options. Drawings were agreed and signed off in a professional manner. The product was delivered ahead of schedule and is to a very high standard, with good dimensional accuracy. GEC Anderson have met all of our requirements, and we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Having been to New Zealand I was determined to have a stainless steel worktop with two intergrated sinks as part of a kitchen refurbishment. The worktop was over 3 metres long with a 1.5 metre return containing the two sinks. I chose to contact Martin Tye at GEC Anderson Ltd because his website explained that his mother had started the company and that intrigued me. I was so glad I did. We visited Martin at his office in Tring and he very patiently explained all the choices that were available and then helped us via many emails to work out what we wanted and there is a lot of choice. Size of sinks, edges and upstands were thrashed out, measurements taken and drawings considered. The beautiful worktop was then delivered on a big lorry and expertly put in place by Adrian who has been with the company for many years. Martin held our hand every step of the way. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending GEC Anderson for any project that involves stainless steel.

When looking for a neat, simple, sink-top solution for a small kitchen space in our London showroom, our architect, who had worked with GEC Anderson on various schemes (some quite complex) recommended them highly. As a designer/manufacturer of metal furniture, the skills required to manufacture such a complex shape are fully understood. They ticked every box with flying colours. We would say it's not just a sink-top - more a beautiful addition to our showroom. An added bonus, GEC Anderson were a complete delight to work with.

We discovered GEC Anderson on the internet having looked at many other potential providers for our bespoke stainless steel sink/worktop. We contacted them an immediately felt that we were in the hands of professionals who really knew their business. From the outset they managed our needs and expectations. We deiced to visit them at their offices and felt that this was very worthwhile as we got a much better idea of what to expect. Templating and fitting where excellent. delivery was a week earlier than expected but this did not cause a problem for their fitter. I have used GEC Anderson for thirty years for stainless steel items including in my own home. Most recently we specified their integrated sink and worktops in a renovation project in Pimlico, London. We also specified stainless steel backsplashes and lit them with small point-source downlights, which creates a really nice effect. The quality is always excellent - higher than you need in some ways - and the service from this family run company is consistently excellent - efficient and personal. Theirs is a really unique and well-designed product with lots of customisable options.

GEC Anderson were the quickest and most helpful company to respond to our rough diagram of 2 right angled stainless steel work surfaces of 3 plus metres x 2.5 metres, one with a cantilevered overhang for a breakfast bar. We were not sure if they would take on such a small project as ours, We looked at their website and whilst it is obvious the products and workmanship are outstanding, this firm deals with commercial enterprises and completes award winning contracts. However from our first enquiry Martin Tye treated us with courtesy and enthusiasm for our project. Martin with his experience and understanding, fine tuned our plan and measurements.
