“I was recommended Declan to design my home renovation project, from the first meeting with him my wife and I knew he was the man for the job . The first on site meeting we explained what we wanted,Declan give ideas and quick sketches to show us what we could achieve. He then provided all the drawings for planning, building control and engineers reports . He was in contact with us the whole way through our job . “Glen worked on plans for our house extension. He took the time to understand what our vision and current and future expectations of the house and the extension. Overall I would say he delivered and exceeded our expectations. Glen worked tirelessly on the designs and kept the project moving right through to planning permission stage. We were also pleased and reassured with the range of contacts for different aspects of the projects that he was able to provide. Am very much looking forward to seeing Glen's designs come to fruition.”

“Finding Jane Burnside was akin to finding an oasis in the desert ! Finally here was an architect who not only listened to our requirements, but also delivered them in a workable and beautiful form. We had spent many hours looking at rural houses , concluding that a traditional retirement house or vernacular cottage was not for us. While we found it easy to say what we didn't want, we couldn't say what we did want. All we knew was that we wanted a complete change from the Victorian farmhouse we were to move out of. An abundance of natural light, no stairs, multipurpose space suitable to accommodate anywhere from 2 - 22 people ( growing grandchildren!) low maintainence grounds and above all pleasing to the eye were among our requirements, form and function was increasingly being uttered. We saw Jane's book and after reading it ,we were convinced that here was the answer to our dilemma . From our first meeting we were impressed with the quality of her work and professionalism . Guiding us away from unsuitable ideas and offering us much better alternatives Jane promptly produced 2 very different house layouts and our hardest decision was which one we liked best. Planning permission in our area is a nightmare and Jane has dealt with this in a very efficient no nonsense manner. In summing up I would recommend Jane Burnside Architects as an answer to anyone looking for a home that is not only tasteful and functional but also one that sets a standard for the future.”

From start to finish ,of our Garage/Home office extension ,we felt totally confident and certain that we had made the right choice with TAS. The services, advice and work provided were excellent. William, our Architect was flexible, extremely professional and saved us a great deal of money by keeping our costs down and our contractors in check. We felt that we had a working relationship with the Studio and that Mr Thornton treated the project as his own. The architect had fresh ideas while staying true to the features of our period property. We have recommended others to use his services and they have been equally pleased.”

“We engaged David for a refurbishment/extension project to our large Victorian home. David was able to turn the clients ideas into workable and practical design adding much along the way. His advocacy of a Contemporary Extension was proven with a resulting harmonious and much loved result. The new complementing the old house. David went the extra mile during design and construction to make sure it all came together. Working with an old house required accommodations with on site discoveries and a great result was achieved.”

“It’s not often an architect designs a dwelling for another architect! The brief Robert received was for a retirement dwelling – two bedrooms with easily accessible en suites, low energy, low maintenance, all age user friendly, distinct in design, but blending with a forty year old property on the same grounds. Robert delivered the goods and more. We live in a house perfect for us – the comfort of a highly insulated home with underfloor heating and wood burning stove, the economy and health benefits of heat recovery and mechanical ventilation, the feel good factor of abundant natural light from heat resisting treble glazing, full height windows and, when the sun permits, the luxury of free hot water from solar panels integrated into the roof. Robert’s design skills were not confined to the indoors, but externally, the landscaping, patios and paving areas displayed our attractive build to its best advantage. And all this came with the low maintenance ticket! Many people have called to inquire about aspects of the house and the architect. Comfort with style is what Robert Logan delivered for us, and always service with a smile.”
