Decorbuddi

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars26 August 2014
“The Decorcafe supplied me with a Decorbuddy to help with the interior design of my new apartment. When I moved in I new the feel of what I wanted: a feeling of space and a stylish look that was comfortable and easy to maintain. My assigned Decorbuddy listened to my needs and recognised that I hadn't a clue what to get - only a budget. Within a week she'd sorted out furnishing concepts for everything: the sitting room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and the media systems. All within budget. She organised the delivery, the installation and the little details while I was away and I came back to a great surprise. Would thoroughly recommend this service.”

“Sacha helped us with a big design/renovation project this year, when we extended our house. We met her when we bought a lovely Stag chandelier, and she then helped us on a bigger design project. She worked closely with us to come up with brilliant ideas that took the sort of things we liked and translated them into a unique design that was just to our taste - but we could never have actually made happen ourselves! She also took the stress out of what should have been a nightmare project, as my husband and I both work and we have small children. Would recommend highly for Interior projects, or Chandeliers.”
MODEL Projects Ltd

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars17 January 2014
“Model Projects were a delight, from the initial brief with James who immediately took my requirements and turned them into a fantastic design - spot on first time with no amendments necessary. Kathryn then took over on a day to day basis as project manager and I cannot praise her highly enough. Dealing with the local authority, building control, structural engineers and the many contractors was done with calm and determination and I now have my dream space.”

“I was so pleased with the work Emilie did for me. I have an open plan kitchen/living room which is an awkward space and she had to work with the existing aesthetics of the living room space and incorporate a kitchen design. I felt like Emilie really understood my taste, especially with colour and how colour works with period styles. She also really listened to the way I used the space and although the kitchen is fully functional, most of the utilitarian (ugly) stuff is hidden away so it's not visible when you're relaxing in the living room. Like everyone who lives in a small space, I was particularly pleased that she found lots of clever ways for hidden storage. It was super helpful to have a designer / project manager rolled into one, for sourcing fixtures, fittings and specialist builders and also because I was too busy at work to look over the day to day stuff. Emilie would just send photos on her phone so I could quickly and easily make decisions and minimise delays in the process. Having your kitchen done can be stressful at times so it was great to have just one single point of contact throughout, especially someone with Emilie's experience and understanding. I'm so happy with the finished result, and I have come to enjoy it even more over time as a bespoke kitchen designed to fit my living requirements rather than a standard 'showroom' kitchen.”

“VC Design was recommended to me and I would do the same without hesitation. We contacted Veronica about drawing up plans for our ground floor extension and although conceptually we had a clear idea of what we wanted to she was invaluable in advising us how to best use the space and our options within the parameters of planning. She also contacted previous clients and arranged for us to see the work they had done, this allowed us to see first hand some of the ideas we had discussed. Veronica submitted the planning application and we have now received our approval - a job very well done.”

“Mel designed a 'lounge-inspired' retail space and office for my shoe company, and did a wonderful job sourcing quirky and unusual pieces of furniture and artwork, as well as creating a solution that worked perfectly for my high end customers and staff. The result was absolutely outstanding, and attracted significant press coverage and a real 'wow' factor within the industry. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Mel again - she's a genius!”
Architect Your Home

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars19 August 2014
“I employed Architect Your Home to design an extension to my house by replacing a conservatory with a new family room added to my kitchen. The kitchen was redesigned as part of the architect's brief together with a new downstairs cloakroom/WC and storage area beneath the stairs in the hall. The architect was Andrew Catto, who is based in Putney. Andrew provided an initial half day consultation and sketch drawings for me, then at my request went on to prepare among other things the scheme level drawings, permitted development application, breakdown of work and tender documentation and invitations to tender to builders, coordination with the structural engineer, party wall and other permissions documentation, and a pre-contract site meeting with the chosen builder. I consulted him by telephone and email and at my home and at his office throughout the preparation stages and he was available for queries during the build. His design was an excellent solution to ensuring both light for the enlarged space and the practical use of the kitchen and new WC and storage area. He understood our needs from the outset and met them fully. He produced what the builders said were excellent drawings and design and they followed up with a high quality build which they completed several weeks earlier than estimated. My wife and I have been delighted with the result and which impresses all of our visitors. Andrew was very professional, timely and helpful to deal with and managed my expectations and occasional minor anxieties about what I was embarking upon. I was delighted with the Architect Your Home way of working which allowed me to choose the services I wanted and to know in advance what the costs were likely to be. I recommend their service.”

“We used M H Costa for a total refurbishment of the N Road house. The level of craftsmanship they provided allowed the architect to bring the house back to it's period routes using good design executed beautifully by the Costa team. The team were impeccable effective with their time, they worked cleanly and left no margin for error. They stayed on track and were (give or take 3%) within the initial price for the tendered job. I found them a real pleasure to deal with and we could not be happier to live in what is now our beautiful home. I would have absolutely no reservation in recommending them to anyone committed to doing a project well.”
Born & Bred Studio

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars11 June 2014
“There is so much to commend Born and Bred Studio that it’s difficult to know where to start. Lisa lives and breathes design, it’s not so much a passion or an expertise but a true vocation. For novices like myself, she manages to make interior design accessible, affordable and user friendly. She listened intently and worked hard to understand the practical needs of our house and also our aspirations for the space which was nothing more than shell, practically untouched for 60 years. She took on board our ideas, improved them - often suggesting something different that we would never have originally considered - and delivered plans that have far surpassed our expectations. Crucially, Lisa isn’t just an ideas person. She has many practical skills from upholstery and curtain making to screen printing which she put to good use in the house. She is also an absolute magpie and never failed to amaze us the her ebay, gumtree and car boot sale finds. This was not only gentle on our budget but has resulted in a house that’s not ubiquitous and that is now really starting to feel like home. Completely, 100% 5 stars *****”
