Edge of the Wood Furniture Restoration

Edge of the Wood Furniture Restoration was founded in 2003 by Gillian Munro. Gillian always had a love of fabrics and working with her hands. In 2001 she decided to take a hobby and turn it in to a business. She ttook redundancy from my job of 20 years and went back to college, learning about the timber and finishing side of restoration. Gillian won the best student award in both her years of study and set up her business in 2003. As a sole trader her aim is to give personal, quality service in Upholstery and Furniture Restoration. She has built her business mainly on word of mouth and recommendation. Gillian taught upholstery at Forth Valley College to HND level, as well as leisure classes in the evening and privately for organisations like the SWRI.
