“I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

“We bought our property last year and it is in dire need of a complete refit and gutting of both the garden and the building. Francis was recommended to us via two of my customers and so we met with him to discuss the garden. The recommendations proved to be correct and Francis produced not only a great plan with exactly what we were looking for but also delivered great knowledge that will save us time and money without cutting corners. The drawings were very clear and plan of works. I would highly recommend his services and have done so all ready.”

“We had a very small, sloping, tired garden in need of re-landscaping and inspiration. Mel from Garden Plan Design spent time with us finding out our likes and dislikes and what would work within the space. The plan Mel produced was beyond our expectations, incorporating raised flower beds, water features and decked and paved areas. The vision was realised through the work of Avalon Landscape & Design and Lupin Gardening and we now have a beautiful outside space which is a pleasure to spend time in. Carole & Kevin Beirne”

His excellent plant knowledge bought the space to life with plants that have thrived ever since they were installed this year. “Steve recently finished our garden project. He did everything from start to finish, including:- - Range of concept thumbnail sketches - Collaborative and evolving detail of design. As it grew, we changed and added things as ideas came out of it - Broad and deep range of knowledge; Horticultural, Construction, woodworking, financial and operational - Innovative, transparent and economical costing and financial arrangements - He was clean and tidied up every day - Dedicated and dependable, unbroken attendance... even in numerous bouts of heavy rain - Attention to detail of all aspects and craft skills in delivery - Responded immediately about any concerns Result is a completely unique, 24 hour/4 seasons garden”
