“In an industry that can be tricky for consumers to navigate, Lawrence Services are a breath of fresh air. Recommended to us by a friend, they offered exactly what we had been looking for - a full-service contractor that can provide initial design support, project management and full building services, and at a reasonable cost. My partner and I are self-employed, and we're very busy people. Our time is valuable to us, and so when we renovated our kitchen we needed a contractor that would listen to what we wanted, assist us with the design, ironing out the practicalities and problem solving, and then take care of everything from start to finish. Lawrence Services provided all of this and more. Our Project Manager, Blaine Lawrence, was superb. Always quick to respond to emails, texts and calls, he is incredibly switched on, offering 3D visualisations of proposed works and contributing great ideas and innovative solutions to problems throughout the entire project. Having a project manager who has worked his way up through the trade is invaluable - he could do most of the work himself which gives him great insight in managing his team of tradesmen. I would sometimes finish work late, and fire off a few questions to Blaine via email before going to bed, expecting a reply in the morning - to my surprise he'd often reply within minutes, and was always on hand to keep us informed. Our kitchen design was a little unconventional, involving a lot of custom built elements. Lawrence Services not only took on board exactly what we wanted, but regularly contributed ideas that fit perfectly with our minimalist industrial design. What impressed us most was the attention to detail - they spotted and improved so many elements that we wouldn't have even noticed, all in the interest of doing the job properly. They covered everything, from demolishing an old lean-to conservatory and replacing it with a bespoke double glazed system, to replacing the floor, rewiring the electrics, plumbing, tiling, plastering, modernising the 80 year old drainage system for the whole house, heavily customising and fitting an Ikea kitchen to suit our design, built custom shelving and furniture, built rustic wood panelling for one of the walls, built a custom lighting rig for the conservatory... there's too much to mention. We later hired Lawrence Services to modernise our bathroom, replacing our boiler in the process. Again, they excelled in realising our modern, bespoke design. They suggested a clever move of the boiler that allowed us to add a shower cubicle to the room - something we wouldn't have thought possible given the limited space. The design was such that the room somehow ended up looking bigger than before! The security of knowing that we could leave them to it, taking care of everything and keeping us well informed, was absolutely invaluable. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Lawrence Services, both for smaller jobs such as built-in wardrobes, all the way up to a complete house build from start to finish.”

“I have used the GD Group a for a couple of jobs in my old house; decorating my first child's nursery, landscaping my garden and re-vamping my kitchen. GD Group came to my house and gave me an estimate for the work and, on the whole, they stuck to it. I appreciate that when the design changed (because I changed my mind!) this effected the costs but they discussed this with me thoroughly beforehand and gave me all the options, so there were no 'hidden charges'. It felt like GD Group took the time to get to know me, what I was after and the style/nature of my home and this made a big difference. The Landscaping of my garden was a huge job and I was beyond pleased with the finished results, so much so that we seriously debated selling our house because we loved it so much. Funnily enough, its the first thing the buyer commented on for his viewing and it became one of the key selling points of the house. GD Group were really tidy around the site, they were always really polite and respectful of my home and belongings, which to me was really important. They turned up on time and did a good day's work. They came up with design ideas that I hadn't thought of; they really know their stuff. My kitchen re-vamp was a significantly cheaper job that the garden works, but I never once felt that they didn't take this job as seriously or give as much dedication because it was a smaller budget. The finish and work was excellent. I had used painters/decorators before and once they'd left I'd found a few 'snagging' bits that I wasn't happy with and trying to get them back in was a nightmare. I didn't have any of that with the GD Group. I am now in the process of getting the GD Group to come into my new home to do the works I need done. They have already suggested some excellent ideas for our garden that work in our budget; I need a space for adults and a space for young children in a relatively small garden and what they have suggested and designed works perfectly and is affordable for us. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the GD Group as finding a tradesperson/company that I can trust has been such a peace of mind for me, so much so that I haven't gone around getting quotes for my new house, I've just called them back in.”

“Nathan has a no nonsense approach and if he said he would do something, he did. How refreshing that was. Although obviously busy, we felt we had lucked out as having a builder where the trades are all lined up one after the other without big gaps in between was such a relief. We had 2 bathrooms turned into 1 large one. I had done my own hand drawn scale drawings and we had bought all the products, many other companies don't like that but Willow Tree were not phased by anything and did not complain. They were flexible and accommodating and very professional. The project went smoothly and the different tradesmen were excellent at their job. We were particularly impressed by the main bathroom installer who worked hard, had very high standards and was pleasant to have around. As I said to Nathan, best experience I have had of using a builder and I just hope we can use him again. Bit worried he'll be too busy though.”
