French and Westcott

They kindly made us prepainted muntins out of iroko wood, made from a scaled drawing that I supplied to them by email. They are top quality and although we had to wait a few weeks, they were delivered well packaged by parcelforce on the scheduled date. I can't thank them enough.

We commissioned French & Westcott to replace our Windows and front Door in our terraced Edwardian house close to the sea front in Folkestone. From initiall discussions , sketches of ideas , using pin interest to focus minds on design , final drawings , adjustments , colour choices , window and door architecture , impacts of salt ! workshop visit , payment schedule , window & door construction, delivery , fitting and finally snagging and completion French & Westcott were just fantastic. Sophie's advice , especially around colour , her calm demeanour and confident knowledge of style and look was invaluable. Ryan's technical skill , craftsmanship and attention to detail was another level. To say they are a top class professional team is an understatement. We are so happy with the results and the look they have a achieved for our property this will certainly not be the last time we engage their services. Thank you guys.

We commissioned French and Westcott to build and install a set of large doors from our kitchen out to the garden. Our objective was to open up the back of a rather drab 60’s extension, get in more light and make it a statement rather than an eyesore! They achieved this and more; now we have some amazing sliding doors that are sleek and interesting, let in tons of light, link the garden to inside and make the extension look like it was something off grand designs! Sophie and Ryan were brilliant throughout, listening to what we wanted and offering different solutions to fit our budget. Once we’d decided on the plan they took care of everything including liaising with the builder, steel fabricators, plumber, building control and finding us a tenderer for the outside - they really were a one-stop-shop. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always there to reassure us or help with any concerns. As for the doors, we’re beyond happy with them - they’ve completely changed the space and look every bit as awesome as promised. The fit and finish are perfect and they look like they were there all along. The design is modern and seriously high end, and I still keep on finding new little details that delight me. To say we’re pleased is an understatement. French and Westcott have looked after us from start to finish and we would happily use them again (we are now looking into some matching windows for the upstairs of the extension!).

We originally used F& W to make and install 2 windows. From our first meeting, Sophie and Ryan were very responsive in all communications. Ryan was excellent at guiding us through various options in to fit in with our house. We were then able to make an informed choice for our design that was both beautiful and practical. Once the installation started Ryan and Richard were incredibly tidy workers and easy to have around. Their attention to detail was incredible and the installation was completed with finishing touches not rushed. We were so pleased that 6 months later we asked F & W to make and install 2 other windows including a bay window. Sophie dealt very professionally with planning permission and kept us informed. Again we were delighted with the make, installation and aftercare. I would highly recommend them for any work.

I asked F&W to come and provide quotes for a new door and window, and from the initial site visit I was struck how professional and informative they were compared to the other companies I had invited. From the initial consultation, quote and then scheduling and delivery/installation of the window and door they were absolutely brilliant. The quality of the workmanship, the care and attention when installation and the after care was something that really set them apart. We recently used French and Westcott to replace all 40+ windows in our house. It has had a completely transformative effect and we are absolutely delighted with the result. This was due to Ryan's vision in understanding what we wanted and how it could be achieved, his designs that paid attention to the smallest details that we had not even considered and then the care and craftsmanship that went into the execution. The new windows and doors let in far more light than before but I am always surprised as to how reassuringly solid they are when you open them, they are so well designed and made. And we have already noticed how much warmer and quieter they are. Throughout the whole process, Ryan and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful and responsive in answering our questions and presenting carefully considered options for us. We would unreservedly recommend them to others - we have already recommended them to friends and used them on another project.
