R. G. Croudace Glass

We are delighted with the result of Rob's work - and it has been a real pleasure to know him and to share in a creative project with him. He was consistently sensitive to our needs and his artistry and craftsmanship are reflected in the beautiful stained glass panels in our transformed front door. We were particularly impressed by the painstaking and skilful work put in to install each panel on site.

We live in a 1930s house and wanted leaded lights in the windows surrounding the front door which were in keeping with the period of the house but with a personal twist. From a meeting at our house and further email discussion, Rob incorporated our ideas into a beautiful work of art. He was able to guide us with types and colours of glass that would be suitable to achieve the affect we wanted. The completed windows took a day to fit and we are delighted with the results. Lovely to meet a man who is clearly passionate about his work and very good at his chosen career.

I was fortunate enough to find Robert online; after submitting a photo and dimensions of the repair we agreed date/time/cost. On arrival, he put me instantly at ease that the job could be completed to achieve a good match to the original design and glass. He worked meticulously, and I could tell he’s someone who loves his craft. Thoroughly professional, polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Project: damage to internal glass window. Rob was very helpful with advice on how to get window in and out. Although he would have come and done that for me if necessary. He was very prompt and the paperwork very clear. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the window looks good now it’s back in its home.

The stained glass panel in the front door of my rented property was damaged when a large piece of furniture which was being moved smashed into it. I needed to have it repaired as soon as possible. After (re)searching on the internet I chose R. G. Croudace Glass because the company appeared to offer the type of repair method that I believed would satisfy the project. I chose right. Mr Rob Croudace inspected the damaged stained glass panel on February 2. On February 6 Rob emailed me a quote along with a meticulously detailed list of processes that would be performed to restore the damaged stained glass panel as close to original as possible. On April 13 the repaired and restored stained glass panel was reinstalled,however, not only was the stained glass panel impressive but Rob paid such attention to the details even after the insulation by buffing areas on and around the glass pieces and gave me instructions on how to bring out the patina in the metal. Rob also communicated professionally with the anxious and hounding agency and landlord and he at the same time respected my wish to not give them cost details of my repair bill which they were asking for; the contract for the repair was only between me and R.G. Croudace Glass. Mr Rob Croudace respected that. The rental agency has seen the glass in person and they are satisfied with the repair (thanks to Rob). Rob is highly skilled, sharp, knows his stuff, pays attention to the details. R. G Croudace Glass is the stained glass expert to trust.

Rob saved the day by repairing some broken stained glass in our 1930's front door that had broken shortly before we were about to move house. He was very kind and professional and did an amazing job, we are delighted with it! We will definitely use again for some design work in our new home, I cannot recommend him highly enough. Such a lovely chap too.

Rob provided an excellent service. He was very professional and knowledgable. He fixed some broken panes of glass in our stained glass door window so it now looks as good as new. The cost was very reasonable given the level of craftmanship and time necessary to complete the job. I would highly recommend Rob to anyone needing restoration of a stained glass window. Rob recently assisted us with the design and glass selection for our replacement window adjacent to our front door. We wanted to restore some of the 1930's appeal to our house and Rob patiently listened and advised us on appropriate colours and glass texture to achieve our desired panel. He kept us regularly updated throughout the construction phase to ensure he was making it to the correct design choices and then set a date to fit the panel. He arrived promptly and fitted the glass to a frame that caused one or two problems. He overcame these cheerfully and efficiently and we are totally happy with the finished result. Rob is a very thorough, friendly and professional man whose artistic talent is amazing. We would thoroughly recommend him and his work to any prospective customers.

Rob was absolutely fantastic when asked to repair my smashed 1930s front door glass. He seeked out identical glass and expertly fitted it. My door looks better now than it did before being broken! I highly recommend him.

Rob is a very friendly and amicable man. He was able to complete repairs at short notice (within a few days of requesting) to our stained glass Victorian door, and completed works within a couple of hours. He work is impeccable - I really couldn't see where the repairs had been completed. He is timely, efficient, polite and reliable. I will definitely use him again and recommend to others.
