About Us

Drawing on over 60 years’ experience, we make beautiful wine rooms that are the focal point for any kind of home. Our portfolio ranges from historic buildings to modern apartments, from urban pied-a-terres to second homes in the country. Our wine rooms are bespoke, meaning that we work to any specification, whatever the size and budget, to make your dream a reality. Our temperature controlled systems ensure your wine is properly looked after. We also have developed our own technology that makes managing your collection a breeze. We are proud to create cellars for a diverse range of clients: home-owners, restaurants and bars, builders, architects and interior designers. We make everything ourselves in-house, so you can rest assured the whole project will be professionally managed by us, and not contracted out to any third party. FSC and PEFC wood is used where possible, and we have a wide range of finishes and clever touches to get the look you desire. DO NOT USE! I could not be more disappointed with the service I have received. I have spent thousands on a wine cellar that couldn’t be more disappointing and still not finished! Didn’t stick to time lines Delivered a door with no bottom or side seals so pouring condensation! Lock doesn’t work- had to be filed down Veneer around door delivered but it’s the wrong finish- still awaiting right one?!! Grain of wood over painted so now can’t see any grain in parts Seal delivered then pulled too tightly and snapped Not double glazed as they specified it should be - replaced it Delivered door with massive rivets - sent back Scratch pain of glass- replaced Smashed temporary glass Took a video of wine cellar with no permission to put on instagram with the caption “heaven” had to ask to take down Don’t reply always “out of office” This has not been heaven but hell. DO NOT USE!! I have no idea how this company is everywhere. They make wine cellars and they can’t get it right.

It's now 3 months since Sorrells installed our wine "cave" and we are delighted with the result. There was a minor glitch with the air conditioning unit shortly after installation and the Sorrells team dealt with it within hours, sending a technician from Essex to Wiltshire. The company did an excellent design, checked room measurements carefully, gave expert guidance to other trades and installed on time within budget. AS importantly Sorrells is a very professional family business and a delight to deal with. Altogether we are very happy customers.

Tim is so passionate about his work, he listened to what we wanted and came up with some great ideas. The fitters where real craftsmen, very professional and tidy. The project was delivered on time and to the agreed price. We had a leak in the cellar, nothing to do with Sorrells, but they came and replaced a water damaged panel without any fuss. We love the wine cellar, thanks Tim and all at Sorrells

This is the third wine cellar we have had installed in the last 15 years, having had one in our home in Canada and then one on moving back to UK and then as a priority when we moved again two years ago. This latest by Sorrells is international standard, a different class in terms of design, service, knowledge and quality. It is a feature in our home and there have been many fun, wine tasting dinners held by placing tables in the hall in front of it. Its the site of friendship, laughter and memories.

We started off with a wet, dark unusable space in our cellar. After a visit from Tim, we set about getting a water management system installed (not by Sorrells, but they recommended the company, who was also fantastic, and worked perfectly together). Once the cellar was water tight, Sorrels, designed and installed the wine cellar and I can honestly say the whole project was a pleasure. Tim and all the staff that we had dealings with are professional, efficient and friendly people. The guys that fitted the cellar were so polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. The cellar is simply stunning. It provides the perfect space for the obvious storage, but is also a lovely place for pre & post dinner drinks with friends. If you are even contemplating a wine cellar or cabinet, then you should contact Sorrells!

Tim and his team did an excellent job with our wine cellar. We particularly appreciated the experience, knowledge and support for the design and layout, which makes clever use of the limited space. Combined with great craftsmanship and quality products, the cellar looks very professional and is now a popular room in the house where we enjoy having guests, despite being in the basement! We have recently had a very contemporary home built and wanted a "one wall" and a separate unit for glassware as part of the kitchen. Tim and his team came up with an excellent design and worked with the kitchen supplier to bring the whole project together. There were minor teething problems, as with any new project, but everything was sorted out on time, without fuss and to an exceptionally high standard. We could not be more pleased with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Sorrells
