I could not have wished for better attention to the detail of my order and timely delivery. The gates combined both security and aesthetic quality handcrafted to a perfection that would enhance any property.

I sketched out some plans for a free standing metal fence for my terrace and sent it to Eastwell. The communication was fantastic, they offered me advice regarding which steel to use and then constructed the fence to a very high standard, with 100% accuracy to my original plans... Perfect...

Having purchased a former brewery with high ceilings and an existing off the shelf but tired spiral stair case we were excited by the idea of building a custom stair that celebrated the heritage and history of brewing. Finding someone who can build you a custom iron staircase was far from easy but after a number of false starts when found Leigh and the team at Eastwell. After some initial phone and email consultations Leigh and Craig came out to visit our home and take some initial measurements. We discussed what we had in mind which included removal of the existing stair, design and construction of a new stair and balustrade and making a set of balustrades to enclose a raised mezzanine area in the living space at the top of the stair. The quote for all of this work was not cheap -- but overall a reasonable fixed price for all that needed to be done. Our design concept was something organic with references to hops, and a selection of small creatures hidden in among the design. Over a period of about nine months we were kept in constant contact as the design evolved from paper to prototyping in metal. We made several visits out to the Eastwell works to see how things were progressing and to approve things at each step. Craig in particular did a great job at translating inchoate concepts into hard metal! The final step was the removal of the existing stair and one month later the installation of our new custom design -- which came into place after some challenging hours getting the first of three sections onto the reused centre column! We are more than pleased with the final result which in design, functionality and appearance really sets off the rooms and provides a great centrepiece to both floors. All in all the Eastwell team are highly recommended for any challenging custom ironwork job

We needed some handrails to help us step down from our front door and were recommended to Eastwell Ironworks by our daughter, who had been very satisfied with the work she had had done by them. From the moment we contacted them their service was faultless, delivering a great product, on time, at a competitive price, but most of all Leigh and Craig were so easy to deal with, it was a pleasure to do business with them.

We were delighted to “find” Eastwell Ironworks in New Romney as I had many design ideas but could not find anyone to carry them out. The hand rail, matching gate and a wonderful sculpture which I use to steady me whilst climbing over a wall have now been installed and we are absolutely delighted. Measurements and instillation was all carried out by Eastwell Ironworks and everything fits perfectly. I am now thinking of my next project!

Just had an idea of an underwater sea sculpture in mind and decided to commission Eastwell Ironworks. Gave Leigh a simple pen sketch and discussed ideas. The finished piece of work is stunning and we couldn’t be happier. The attention to detail is incredible and the addition of LED lighting built into the base to light from below transforms the piece at night. It is a true work of art admired by everyone

From the initial phone call Leigh and his team could not have been more helpful. It was not easy to explain the idea I had in my head, but listening carefully and making sense from my very bad sketches somehow they have managed to create it perfectly. I can not thank them enough therefore I've no hesitation in recommending them.

They made us a dragon - the most beautiful mother dragon you ever did see. She sits in our fireplace and guards her eggs day and night. From the initial conception of the piece which was drawn by our daughter Martha, Craig at Eastwell Ironworks was on board and while he interpreted the design in his own way he has given us a unique artwork with all the qualities I could have wished for. At every stage of manufacture his attention to detail and customer preference were obviously important to him. I could phone for updates and there was always someone there to help with any queries or concerns we might have had. They are a very friendly bunch at Eastwell Ironworks. Covid 19 and the subsequent lockdown meant that the manufacture of the dragon took a little longer than normal but it was so worth the wait. We are delighted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Very happy with the way our project was undertaken and the final result, would definitely approach Eastwell Ironworks again for future projects.

As soon as I met Craig for the first time, I knew I could work with him and the team at Eastwell Ironworks. We had purchased a barn conversion in East Sussex that had been converted in the early 90's and you could tell! We wanted to incorporate some traditional craftsmanship and materials into the space and the first project was a replacement balustrade. The main building was originally used as a cow shed and as a nod to the former residents, I wanted to design a balustrade around a cattle feeding rail. I provided some images (of cows) to Craig who immediately understood my design intent and went away to develop a design which met my brief and that was in accordance with current regulations for handrails and stairs. Whilst both parties knew that my brief was unique and that there would be challenges along the way, I trusted that Craig and Lee would be able to understand and adapt the design along the way. The final design is perfect and the quality of the fabrication and finishing is outstanding. I smile every time I see the staircase now and I am so grateful for the professionalism and resilience that Craig and Lee showed during what was a very challenging time through the first Covid lockdown. I was so impressed with the work from Eastwell Ironworks, that I decided to use them again to produce a coffee table that I had in mind, but was unable to source via normal channels, due to the size of the space the table needed to serve. Lee was able to recommend a stone yard where I was able to hand select the marble for my table and Craig and Lee took care of working with the stone supplier and arranging delivery and payment. The coffee table they produced is completely unique and is the focal point of the living room. We love it! I would not hesitate to recommend Eastwell Ironworks and I am currently trying to think of other pieces to design, so that I can work with them again in the near future.

Nice to deal with and very pleased with the handrail. I found a picture of a handrail with an unusal swirl ending. I made a drawing from it and communicated with Craig who was happy to make it. It came out spot on to my drawing. Would definitely recommend this small but reliable ironworks company!
