Writtle kitchen | diner
A complete overhaul of the layout of this 1930's semi-detached was needed to improve the living area on the ground floor. Originally two separate rooms, the wall between the dining room and kitchen was knocked through which instantly gave a more open plan feel and a better flow for the ground floor space. Adding bi-fold doors from the dining area into the garden enhanced the flow even more. By carefully zoning the kitchen area and dining area with key lighting, fixtures and fittings, the new open kitchen | diner now works brilliantly for a young growing family. Despite working to a tight budget, clever joinery enabled us to make an off the shelf kitchen more bespoke. Incorporating wonderful wall finishes and key detailing into the design has made the end result individual and personal to the client. Fiona Duke Interiors provided full concept design, sourcing and project management.
