Pink, Yellow, Turquoise Living Room with Pink Walls and a Standard Fireplace Ideas and Designs

This Flat Victorian marble fireplace is a classic chimney piece of complete simplicity. It frames a cast iron insert we call the Bolton and sits on a lovely contrasting slate boxed and lipped hearth. Photo by William Goddard Photography

This project was colourful, had a mix of styles of furniture and created an eclectic space. All of the furniture used was already owned by the client, but I gave them a new lease of life through changing the fabrics. This was a great way to make the space extra special, whilst keeping the price to a minimum.

Les moulures délicates, la cheminée en marbre et les parquets anciens – restaurés avec soin par nos équipes – sont élégamment mis en valeur par une décoration haute en couleurs. La cuisine, en pièce maîtresse, ose l’originalité avec un îlot central habillé de carreaux graphiques en écho à la bibliothèque sur-mesure réalisée côté séjour. Rose poudré et vert soutenus de touches de bois et de laiton, insufflent une atmosphère contemporaine et chaleureuse au projet. Dans l’ensemble du projet, tout a été pensé dans les moindres détails par notre architecte Marguerite. Dans la suite parentale, teintes chaudes, literie 5 étoiles et moquette douillette offrent un cadre enveloppant tandis que son spectaculaire dressing en angle donne accès à une salle d’eau chaleureuse, propice à la détente, grâce à une porte dissimulée et fait de cette chambre un véritable havre de paix, alliant esthétisme et fonctionnalité. Les chambres d’enfants ont été rénovées dans un esprit cocooning, pratique et coloré et bénéficient d’une salle de bain privative avec baignoire. Une dernière surprise : le placard du fond du couloir s’ouvre sur un espace buanderie, de quoi dissimuler machine à laver, sèche linge, panier et produits ménagers.

Having designed other rooms in the client’s house for use by the rest of her family, the living space was to be her sanctuary, but it was desperate for some love and colour. We started with the sofas, the largest pieces of furniture and focal points in the room. It was important that the style complemented the property’s older features but still felt current, and the client fell in love with the rusty pink options. This set the tone for the rest of the room with pinks, blushes and greens carried throughout. The lighting was a key part of the design for this room as it was originally only fit with spotlights. I sought out a company in the UK who hand blow glass, and after comparing lots of samples, shapes and colour combinations, together with the client we designed this one-of-a-kind piece to light the room.

The bright living space with large Crittal patio doors, parquet floor and pink highlights make the room a warm and inviting one. Midcentury modern furniture is used, adding a personal touch, along with the nod to the clients love of music in the guitar and speaker. A large amount of greenery is dotted about to add life to the space, with the bright colours making the space cheery and welcoming. Renovation by Absolute Project Management

The brief for this project involved a full house renovation, and extension to reconfigure the ground floor layout. To maximise the untapped potential and make the most out of the existing space for a busy family home. When we spoke with the homeowner about their project, it was clear that for them, this wasn’t just about a renovation or extension. It was about creating a home that really worked for them and their lifestyle. We built in plenty of storage, a large dining area so they could entertain family and friends easily. And instead of treating each space as a box with no connections between them, we designed a space to create a seamless flow throughout. A complete refurbishment and interior design project, for this bold and brave colourful client. The kitchen was designed and all finishes were specified to create a warm modern take on a classic kitchen. Layered lighting was used in all the rooms to create a moody atmosphere. We designed fitted seating in the dining area and bespoke joinery to complete the look. We created a light filled dining space extension full of personality, with black glazing to connect to the garden and outdoor living.

Two Victorian terrace reception rooms have been knocked into one, each has been given its own clearly defined style and function, but together they make a strong style statement. Colours are central to these rooms, with strong teals offset by blush pinks, and they are finished off with antiqued mirrored tiles and brass and gold accents.

This midcentury chair had the fabric changed to give it a new lease of life, The colour had enough pink to go with the carpet and walls, but enough green to give an extra touch to the room.
